Professor at Hogwarts?

Ivan held his wand close to the wall, and saw that the paintings were of people in pain, with hideous wounds or strangely twisted bodies, looking extremely strange in the night and the glow of his wand…

"That's really Snape's style…" said Ivan, looking at the picture on the wall.

If he remembered correctly, Snape had a large number of these drawings in his classroom when he was the Defence Against the Dark Arts professor.

It is possible that Slughorn, a Potions professor at the time, did not like the dark style and asked Snape to bring the ornaments with him.

[Ding! Exploration of Potions Classroom completed. Current progress: 54%!]

After walking around for a while, the system sounded in Ivan's head, but he did not leave immediately. Instead, he searched the cupboard where the old books were kept.

It didn't take Ivan long to find what he was looking for in a pile of books.

It was a battered-looking book entitled Advanced Potion-Making.

Yvonne flicked through the pages and saw that they had been heavily altered, with numerous notes and notes in the margins.

If it had been anyone else, they would have thought it was a naughty student scribbling nonsense in the book. After all, many of the notes were contrary to the contents of the textbook.

Some places were so dark that the contents of some of the textbooks had been crudely crossed out, making it impossible to read.

Ivan, however, was well aware that Snape, the most accomplished potioneer in the wizarding world, had used this spell in his student school textbook, along with several other self-created spells…

Yvonne looked at the book's alterations and secretly clicked her tongue.

In his sixth year, Snape dared to question the contents of his textbook, inventing new and more efficient recipes for potions, and was incredibly good at it…

The students of this class were significantly weaker, as none of them had reached Snape's level of magical research.

Putting the old textbooks in his pocket, Ivan tidied up the cupboard he had ransacked and left the Potions classroom. Before leaving, he did not forget to restore the lock so that no one would notice.

During the night, Ivan, who had visited dozens of classrooms, returned to the Gryffindor Lounge before dawn and gave his orders.

"A Sleeping Lion!"

The picture on the wall in front of the passage showed the Fat Lady dozing, startled, and looking ahead with wide eyes, but seeing nothing but darkness.

"It's got to be you, hasn't it, Potter? Next time you try to tease me with that cloak, I'm not going to open the door!" The Fat Lady scowled, then moved aside to reveal a circular passageway.

Sorry, I'm not Potter…

Ivan shrugged, but did not reply, and slipped through the opening.

By the time they reached their room, the bed was empty and everyone was asleep. Harry, who had no intention of sleeping, was murmuring into his blanket, Ron was snoring, and the others did not seem to be waking up.

Ivan breathed a sigh of relief and went to bed to catch up on his sleep.

Over the next few days, Ivan explored all the classrooms and secret passages that he had not been to before, and his progress slowly progressed towards the Sixtieth Gate.

However, not everything was smooth sailing. At least during the second period of Defence Against the Dark Arts class, Ivan had some trouble.

"Eleven people! A total of eleven people scored full marks on this questionnaire! Of course… in fact, I expected more…"

Lockhart was excited when he collected all of the questionnaires and began to review them.

"A little bit of a surprise to me…Potter! Harry Potter! And Ivan Harris!" Lockhart raised his voice.

Ivan reluctantly stood up in front of everyone. If he had known, he would not have written the questionnaire…

Harry, who had also stood up, was also depressed.

"I didn't think you'd remember everything about me, so I'll give you twenty points each!" Lockhart said happily, ignoring the looks on their faces.

He had never expected to find two famous students at the school, both of whom were fans of his, and this made him feel less repulsed by them.

"To be honest, I don't mind having an intimate photo with you after class!" Lockhart winked playfully.

"No, I have other things to do at the end of the lesson, Professor!" Ivan refused Lockhart's offer of a picture without hesitation.

Lockhart looked at Harry in disappointment, but Harry shook his head.

When Ivan sat down, he did not receive a system prompt; it seemed that this type of bonus was not well received.

This led Ivan to dismiss the idea of relying on Lockhart for GPA this term.

Lockhart recovered from his momentary loss, picked up his copy of Wanderings with Werewolves and addressed the room.

"Now, let's get to class. Today, I'll show you how to subdue a werewolf who has lost control!"

"Mr Neville Longbottom…" Lockhart called out, turning his head to the left of the front row.

Lockhart was surprised when Neville, who had moved to sit in the corner, stood up and tried to refuse, but Lockhart did not give him the chance.

"Mr. Longbottom, I think you did very well in your last class, so you'll play the werewolf today!"

Neville made his way to the front of the class with a grimace on his face, playing along with Lockhart's poor acting, sometimes having to play the part of the Dark Wizard who had been defeated by Lockhart, pretending to be injured when Lockhart pulled out his wand.

Yvonne was enjoying the show. It was good to watch it as a comedy show, not to mention that many of the plots were real, except that Lockhart was not the main character.

The diary on the table slowly opened, and the black ink on the page turned into a line of text.

[Are all the professors at Hogwarts at this level these days? Telling stories to their students in class?]

Yvonne rolled her eyes. 'Who do you think gets the credit?'

If you hadn't created a curse, Dumbledore wouldn't have to worry every year about who was going to teach Defence Against the Dark Arts.

Those who were qualified for the position in the wizarding world had either been down on their luck for a year or had heard the news and turned it down…
