I'm the Most Familiar Eagle on Hogwarts Road!

"Night owls? Why did I turn into this? That's impossible, isn't it? Wouldn't it be nice to have a phoenix or a thunderbird or something…" Ivan said helplessly, standing by the pool and looking at his reflection in the water.

As the transformation was completed, the system prompt sounded in Ivan's mind.

[Ding! Your Transfiguration skill has been upgraded to Level 5 (3/3200)]

[Ding, special magic: Animagus Transfiguration (Owl) unlocked.]

"I know I'm turning into an owl, but can't you just call me something else like an owl?" Ivan complained as he read the Animagus Transfiguration name in the system.

Perhaps sensing Ivan's request, the system changed from the Chinese interface to the English interface so that there was no need to worry about other names, as they were all the same word…

Ivan rolled his eyes. The only good thing was that his long-stuck Transfiguration had finally been upgraded as he had expected.

However, the Animagus was a special type of magic that did not have a level indicator, but was enhanced as the level of Transfiguration increased.

"Well, owls it is…" Ivan sighed.

Now that the Animagus form had been confirmed and could no longer be changed, Ivan quickly accepted this fact and began to study how this form could help him.

The most important of these was stealth!

The owl was a wizard's best animal companion, and was found all over the wizarding world, so he could go anywhere he wanted disguised as a messenger owl.

To Ivan's slight displeasure, owls could not cast spells at will in their form.

Although he still possessed magic, it was impossible to perform magic without the help of a wand, gesture, or spell.

This made combat power in this state very worrying…

Ivan was reminded of the fast-moving Piebald cat in the Forbidden Forest during his first year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

If he remembered correctly, Sirius, also an Animagus, had turned into a dog and was able to restrain Lupin, who had gone berserk and transformed into a werewolf.

This is not something an ordinary large dog can do…

Ivan let the thought go and tried to flap his wings to get used to his new body. It didn't take long for him to stagger back into flight.

Because the time limit on the Experience Card was not yet up, it did not take long for Ivan to master normal flying skills, and in the dense forest created by the Room of Requirement,

Ivan soon learned that being able to fly was a huge advantage in itself, as it was much safer and more mobile than being transformed into any other creature.

More to the point, feeling the breeze on her face, Yvonne found it more pleasant than riding a broomstick …

It took a while for Ivan to adjust, and then he remembered his quest, which now seemed to have a way of completing it.

Sneaking into the dormitory as an owl was much safer than using Polyjuice Potion.

Unless he was a terrible actor, or if he ran into a Transfiguration expert like Dumbledore, he would be able to go anywhere he wanted throughout Hogwarts…

Ivan hesitated no longer, but opened the door with difficulty, flew out of the Room of Requirement, and wandered around Hogwarts Castle.

At this time, it was already evening, and the young witches and wizards who had just eaten dinner returned to their dorms, chatting and laughing.

Nobody paid any attention to Ivan as he flew through the air, and they were even able to eavesdrop on their conversation, as he appeared to be nothing more than a grey owl.

Even more surprising to Ivan was the fact that the transformation helped him a lot more than that. Because of his transformation, he was able to learn a foreign language, Owlish!

Whenever an owl flew past him, Ivan was able to glean information from its cries.

"Coo coo coo ~ (to deliver a letter)" is a postman owl.

"Gummy, coo coo coo ~ (I'm so hungry, I can't fly anymore)" is a skinny owl.

"Coo-coo-coo-coo… (today our Slytherin password is pure-blood…") is an owl owned by Slytherin.

While most of the owls' cries were useless nonsense, there were occasional snatches of interesting information.

For example, the password to enter and exit Slytherin's dormitory today,

This discovery pleased Ivan greatly, as it meant he could visit Slytherin's dormitory.

As Ivan prepared to act, a grey-and-white owl with an envelope tied to its leg flew past him.

Ivan was stunned and turned his head abruptly.

Eh… why did the messenger owl look so much like me?

How about…

A million thoughts raced through Ivan's mind, and he quickly turned around and flapped his wings to catch up with the owl that looked like him.

"Coo, coo, coo, coo ~ (Hey, where are you going? Do you need me to show you the way?)" Ivan tries to communicate with the other in his own unknown level of Eagle.

"Googoogoogoogoogoogoogoogoogoogoogoogoogoogoogoogoogoogoogoogoogoogoogoogoogoogoog… (Giving a newspaper to Ravenclaw's Bedroom, I know my way around, you don't have to show me the way!)" The grey owl glanced sideways at Ivan and cooed.

Yvonne's eyes lit up. He had been worrying about not having a suitable identity to explore the girls' room. This was a good opportunity.

"How about I deliver your mail? It'll give you a break. I'm the best hawk on Hogwarts Road, you know. Everyone says I'm the best messenger for eagles," Ivan cooed.

"Coo, coo ~ (No, I must deliver the letter myself!)" The grayish-white owl ignored Ivan's suggestion and flew on.

As a self-disciplined owl, it would never order another eagle to deliver a letter just to be lazy.

Ivan tried to comfort her, but she continued to ignore him, so he had no choice but to play his trump card…

Ivan flapped his wings and rose high into the air, only to crash down even faster…

Owls pounce!

The grey-white owl's keen hearing alerted it to the danger, but it was too late. Ivan beat it to the ground with his wing before it could make a noise.

Successful, Ivan continued to dive, his wings flapping wildly.

As the magic flowed through him, Ivan was surprised to find that he was much stronger than before. Before long, the innocent owl was knocked out cold.

Ivan then took his time untying the newspaper from the boy's foot. Holding the newspaper in his mouth, he pretended to fly towards Ravenclaw's dormitory.

From now on, he is a messenger owl…

(PS: The title of the next chapter is too long to play, so I posted it here as a preview. (Ivan: Why are you making things difficult for a poor owl who just came to deliver a newspaper?)
