Terrifying Gap (1)

The eighty or so wizards in front of him came from all over the world and were dressed in all kinds of strange clothes, but none of them were British or North American.

However, this was not surprising. After being beaten up by Ivan in Knockturn Alley, Fran and the other Enforcers knew that Ivan was two-faced and powerful.

Most of the Aurors in North America had witnessed the battle between Ivan and Grindelwald, and many of them were traumatized by it.

"It seems no one else wants to challenge me," Ivan said, looking around the room. "Unfortunately, if there were enough of them, I might have to go to a lot of trouble…"

Colin Morton and the others frowned, angered by Ivan's provocation. If it weren't for the fact that Ivan was their superior, they would have attacked him and shown him who was boss.

Ivan, naturally, sensed their eagerness and shook his head, his opinion of them falling even further. He then waved his hand, gesturing for the rest of the wizards to move away so as not to affect the duel.

Ivan then had Flan and the other law-enforcement officers work together to create several strong magical barriers that surrounded the entire hall to prevent the aftermath of the battle from blowing up the headquarters of the League.

As for the other wizards, they gathered outside the barrier and discussed the outcome of the battle in low voices.

Although the recent news of Ivan's victory over Grindelwald had been touted in the wizarding newspapers of various countries, the extent of Ivan's strength could only be estimated by the Aurors who had personally witnessed the battle.

"Shall we begin, President Harls?" said a grumpy Colin Morton impatiently as he pulled his wand out. The remaining eighty or so Aurors quickly dispersed to form a semi-circle.

"Of course, anytime!" Yvonne said, nodding casually.

As soon as he finished speaking, a scarlet beam of light flew out from the crowd and almost instantly reached Ivan.

Ivan took his time. He flicked his wand and the scarlet beam vanished.

However, in the next second, Colin Morton and the others attacked at the same time.

"Excellarmus ~ (excluding your weapon)"

"Petrificus ~ (All petrified)"

"Diffindo ~ (cracked apart)"

… .

Instantly, dozens of magical beams of various colors attacked from all directions.

Ivan's expression did not change. He quickly pointed the Human Bones Charm at himself and chanted softly.

"Protegos ~ (armour protecting)"

An invisible barrier of magic rose around Ivan, and the watching wizards broke out in cold sweat at his arrogance.

Even Merlin's resurrection would not be able to stop so many spells with just an Armor Charm!

However, to everyone's astonishment, dozens of spell beams were instantly repelled.

Colin Morton barely managed to roll out of the way of this counter-attack, but not everyone was as adaptable as he was, and many of the Aurors who did not react in time suffered the consequences of their own actions.

In just five seconds, nearly a third of the Aurors had lost their ability to fight…

"How is this possible?!" Colin Morton scrambled to his feet and stared at Yvonne in shock and confusion.

The assembled wizards were astonished, and even Flan's face fell.

In the past, when Ivan fought with these law-enforcers, he would usually avoid facing such a large-scale attack head-on. However, this time, he did not dodge at all. Instead, he used the Shield Charm to reflect all the spells back at him.

Such power was beyond their comprehension!

At this thought, Warren and Walker looked at each other. It seemed that Sir Harris's strength had improved significantly…

What they did not see, however, was that three of the ten protective rings on Ivan's finger had dimmed at the same time as the first round of attacks…

After absorbing the memories of Dumbledore and Grindelwald, Ivan's level of magic improved dramatically, but it was impossible for an Armor Charm to stop the attacks of so many people.

In fact, by the fiftieth spell, his Shield Charm had already shattered, so Ivan had to activate three magic rings in a row to barely hold off the onslaught.

Ivan did this not to show off, but to test how much basic magic would improve in combat once it reached Level Eight.

Of course, if he didn't wear a protective ring when he went out, he wouldn't be stupid enough to resist it. He could just Disapparate or transform into flames to avoid it.

Not knowing any of this, Colin Morton and the others thought otherwise, seeing Ivan easily warding off all of their charms and rebounding them all.

'And he fought like that?'

Even though the Aurors present had extraordinary combat experience, they still panicked when faced with such a terrifying difference in combat strength. Dozens of wands were pointed at Ivan, but no one dared to make the first move.

"It looks like you've had enough fighting…then it's my turn!" Ivan sneered as he stepped forward, his aura reaching its peak. Colin Morton and the others seemed to be the ones being surrounded.

"Expellarmus ~ (Expelliarmus)" Ivan takes a step forward and, without warning, swings his wand at Colin Morton.

The latter did not expect Ivan to choose him as his first target. Fortunately, his many years of survival instincts allowed him to react and cast a protective spell on himself.

Unfortunately, the makeshift protection did not work. It was broken almost instantly. The scarlet charm hit Colin Morton in the chest, and he was thrown back as if he had been hit hard.

Ivan didn't let up. He pointed his wand at the rest of the wizards, and a series of magical beams flew out.

Ivan did not use any blood magic to test his strength, but he was able to cast all kinds of basic charms. Every time he attacked, one or more Aurors would fall to the ground…
