The Final Duel

After dealing with these troubles, Flan and the others worked together to cast the Illuminating Charm to restore light to the dark control room.

"Are you all right, Sith?" Walker asked when he noticed his injured colleague.

"I'm fine. I won't die for a while…" said Sith weakly, clutching his bloody chest. He tried to stand up, but almost fell back down.

If it weren't for the Shield Charm, he would have died.

"Don't move. Reinforcements will be here soon. Let me tend to your wounds." Walker frowned as he helped Sith sit down in a corner and used his half-baked medical magic to stop the bleeding.

Flan glanced over, and when she saw that Sith's life was not in danger, she knelt and pulled a strange triangular pendant from Alison's neck.

The pendant's interior was a circle with a vertical line in the middle, which was familiar to Flan, as she often dealt with saints.

However, the pendant in front of him looked particularly different. It had a blue magical fluorescence on its surface, and there was a faint sense of evil…

Flan didn't dare to look at it. She threw it to the ground and waved her wand to summon a fierce fire.

Ivan once warned him of the horrors of Horcruxes, and that they could affect the emotions of the bearer to some extent, and that some weak-willed people might even be controlled by them.

As the flames approached, the pendant on the floor seemed to sense the threat and began to tremble violently. A moment later, a piercing scream filled the control room.

The noise seemed to have the power to make one's head hurt. Flan, Walker, and the others covered their ears but were unable to stop the noise from entering their brains. Sith gasped and fell unconscious.

Fortunately, the terrible fire quickly engulfed the pendant, and within a few seconds, the piercing screams stopped. It took Fran a while to recover, then she cast a spell to extinguish the fire, and the pendant disappeared completely.

Horcruxes destroyed…

… .

A minute ago, inside the Department of Mysteries, Ivan was delighted to receive a message from Flun, and his attacks became even more vicious. A series of spells flew out, aimed at Grindelwald.

"Achilles' Shield!" Grindelwald waved his wand with all his might, and a brilliant magical shield appeared out of thin air. Under his full power, the shield completely solidified, as if it were a reappearance of a myth!

The thin beam of light struck the shield with a bone-jarring crack, and cracks appeared on the surface of the Shield of Achilles, but were instantly repaired.

"Thunder!" Ivan pointed his wand again, and blue lightning surged from the tip of the wand, nimbly bypassing the solid shield of Achilles and striking to the sides.

Grindelwald did not fall for it. He waved his Elder Wand to ward off the lightning.

As the battle reached a stalemate, Grindelwald's expression changed, and his body began to shake. The shield he was holding shattered.

"Sectemsempra ~ (God's Edge is Shadowless)" was what Ivan had been waiting for. An invisible blade of magic flew from the tip of the wand and slashed straight at Grindelwald with indescribable speed…

A sudden sense of crisis overwhelmed Grindelwald, and he forced himself to ignore the stinging sensation in his head.

However, Ivan's long-planned attack did not end there. Without a sound, a white shadow emerged from the ground and stomped fiercely at Grindelwald with its hooves raised. It was the Unicorn's Shadow, which had disappeared after sending Fran and the others away!

It was the same trick as before, but Ivan's timing was impeccable. Grindelwald, with a splitting headache, only had time to cast a protective charm on himself before he was struck by the hooves.

The magical barrier surrounding Grindelwald was the first to break, and his Invisibility Cloak once again blocked the attack. Grindelwald was only hit by less than thirty percent of the force, but he had no intention of resisting and was sent flying.

Despite the layers of debilitating damage, the Shadow of the Unicorn's all-out attack was not to be trifled with. The force of the blow slammed into Grindelwald's chest, causing it to cave in slightly. Blood spurted from Grindelwald's mouth and splattered all over the Shadow of the Unicorn, painting the white light red.

Grindelwald crashed to the hard floor. Before he could catch his breath, the warning bells went off again.

Ivan was relentless, and the flickering lightning gathered once again at the tip of his wand. Grindelwald's pupils contracted, and he waved his wand quickly. The black and white tiles in front of him suddenly rose up, forming a thick wall in front of him.

The violent lightning struck it and immediately exploded!

The next moment, a high-pitched neigh sounded in the control room as the illusory shadow of a unicorn charged towards him through the protective tiles of the walls.

"Flagrate ~ (sign appearing)" Grindelwald's eyes were fixed on the Unicorn's Shadow, and he was rapidly chanting an incantation. The blood on the surface of the Unicorn's Shadow moved rapidly, forming a rope that bound the illusory beast…

The brick wall he had used to stop Ivan had collapsed.

"Surrender, Grindelwald, you have no chance of winning…" Ivan stepped closer, disturbing Grindelwald's concentration with his words.

It seemed that Grindelwald's destruction of the Horcrux had not affected him as much as he had hoped…or he would never have been able to withstand his long-planned attack.

Was it the number of Horcruxes?

Ivan guessed that Grindelwald's lack of souls meant that he was not mentally weak enough to withstand the effects of the destruction of a Horcrux.

Grindelwald rose to his feet and wiped the blood from his mouth. His eyes were as sharp as those of a wounded tiger, and he seemed to have gained even more momentum.

"No one knows how a battle will end until it is over… Why do you think I chose this place?" Grindelwald said slowly, pointing his Elder Wand to the ground. Numerous complex lines appeared on every tile, spreading in all directions.

"It should be about time…"
