Cornelia and Avery were staring at Scarlett with a startled expression as she placed an order for cups of various flavors of ice cream for their table. "I don't think we can finish those." Cornelia said while turning to face Avery. "Can you finish these?"


With a head shake, Avery turned to face Scarlett. "Why are you placing this many orders?"


"Because I have the money to order them?" She returned her attention to her phone and started watching TikTok.


Avery turned her head to face Cornelia. "Is she okay?"


"Scarlett is having her revenge right now." Although Cornelia was whispering, she could hear them.


"She can hear us, so I think you should just talk normally and let her give us the side glance she's giving us right now," Avery said to Cornelia. She turned to face Scarlett. "You are aware that doing this won't get your mother's attention."


Scarlett scoffed. "Who said I was doing all of this to get her attention?"
