Scarlett sat on the bed after dropping the pizza box on the table. She folded her mouth and looked up at Avery and Cornelia, trying to hold back her tears. As soon as she stood up, she gave them both a hug. "I have missed you guys." She tightened her hug.


Cornelia and Avery were choked in her embrace as they tapped her to release them. "We miss you too," Cornelia remarked when she did.


"What did you do yesterday? I was at home, and Avery was too. It will be boring going out without you."


"Like you, I stayed home all day yesterday. It was the most boring day of my life. I have gists for you guys. A lot happened last week." As she sat on the bed, Scarlett reached for a pizza slice. She asked her friends to join her in eating from it. She put it in her mouth and started chewing as she considered where to start.


"Cornelia and I also have something to say to you. Regarding your mom and our dads, I believe you are correct."
