Scarlett gasped. "Mom is home." She turned around and looked at Tucker. "You won't like this." 


Tucker knew what she was about to ask. He nodded. "I will call you later." He went to Mia's window and jumped down. 


"I hate to say this, but you guys have to go and shower for school. I will face mom." 


"You said you don't remember anything. How will you do that?" Cornelia questioned. 


"I will take care of it. You guys should just go." Scarlett found her way out of Mia's room and down the stairs. "Hey mom. Good morning." October was seated on the couch when Scarlett approached her. 


"It's fine. I am getting ready for school. How was your journey?" 


October took a deep breath. "It was fine." She glanced around the living room. "Is it just me, or does the house seem odd?" 


Scarlett began to laugh anxiously. "What do you mean? The house looks okay. Just like the way you had left it."
