CHAPTER 26

TADE

"Tade!" Chichi calls out "I have set the table, come and eat". "I'm coming" Tade who just had her bath replies from her room as she checks her wardrobe for something casual to wear but couldn't find any, all her clothes are designers bought for either an expensive date, a party, or an outing. Most are even gifted as an apology "Damn!, I don't even have any casual wear, I need to go shopping" she grabs her robe, wears it, and joins Chichi at the dining. "I thought you said you wanted to shower???" Chichi asked, surprised to see Tade still in her robe. Tade cuts out the big loaf of bread as she sits and she put some eggs on her plate before replying "I did already but I have nothing to wear" Chichi chuckles "you couldn't find something to wear from the whole of your wardrobe? Tade you have a boutique, you and I know that you drag clothes with your

intended customers, you will rather wear your

designs than sell them, so stop whining, you are

just looking for an excuse for a shopping spree"

Tade eyes Chichi nonstop as she kept talking, Chichi burst into laughter "but you know I am not

lying Tade" Tade naughtily dips a portion of bread into her tea and then into her mouth "You lied, I don't drag all my designs with my customers just the ones I love, do you want me to walk around naked? Whereas some of those customers don't even have the right body to rock most of the clothes and I need clothes too, so whenever I ship my goods down and advertise them in my boutique, I buy the ones I love too as a customer". Chichi gnashed her teeth as she imitates her "I buy as a customer, Tade! You take! You don't buy, whenever you have a party and you don't know what to wear from your wardrobe, you go straight to your boutique and pick from there! Serious people don't do business that way, it won't grow". Tade ignores her friend's advice, she fiddles with her phone as she eats her food

"let's go shopping after we finish with breakfast", "I knew it! I was waiting to hear that, you never

disappoint" Chichi screams, Tade burst into

laughter "but it's not at my boutique now, you just

said shopping at my boutique is bad for business, we will go elsewhere, sincerely I need something casual to wear, I couldn't find any in my wardrobe and I don't even have casuals in my boutiques so we are definitely going elsewhere" Chichi shakes her head in pity "Girl! You need a lot to work on" The doorbell rang which made both of them pause "Are you expecting someone?" Chichi asked Tade who shook her head to say no, "wait did you call Susan as I asked you to do when I was making breakfast?" Tade shook her head again, Chichi sighs as she gives up totally on her friend "It must be Susan then" she stands up to make her way to the door, Tade gives her a questioning look "or it can be Jide" Chichi paused and thought about it "Naaah! He can't come back here after all that happened last night, it should be Susan, she left here without informing anyone, let me go and check" Chichi went to open the door while Tade remained in her seat thinking of the probability the person out her door turns out to be Jide and his family members, she knows how far those people will go to please their son. She never liked Jide's mom right from time, she is more of an

opinionated person who always wants everything in her favour or her children's favour. She also doesn't bother listening to another party when two people are in a fight, she is fast to ridicule others for the sake of her children and she loves to claim her space as the first in her sons' hearts. Tade knew she couldn't put up with that attitude especially when one of the co-wives explained her ordeal in her husband's house, emphasizing how the mother-in-law made her own home a living hell for her, she only got her peace of mind when her mother-in-law left her house after staying for six months refusing to go back to her own house with the excuse of nursing the baby for her when she sincerely does nothing but stress her and make her work like a slave. She was so glad when Jide told her it was going to be just the two of them, no family interference or sudden relocation of the mom from her own husband's house to hers even if they have a baby. Tade sighs in relief "Thank God that marriage didn't even work!". She hears screams from the entrance, it was from Chichi and another person, definitely a lady, she peeped from her dining to see who it was, she screams as she saw Nora and Chichi hugging "NORA!!" Immediately she gets up and pushed her chair off almost flying down the small stairs to push Chichi off Nora and hold her to herself.
