TADE

"Are you girls just going to pretend and say nothing about it?" Tade asks Nora and Chichi who have decided to be mute since Susan left "About what??"

Chichi asks while Nora inattentively chuckles as

she chats on her phone "Am I the only one having a bad feeling about Susan's sudden wedding announcement?" she submits and stares disgustingly at Nora who wasn't listening or engaging in the conversation, Tade picks up her throw pillow and throws it at Nora to get her attention "Hey! what's that for?" Nora asks startled

"Lovergirl! It is only sweet at the beginning, you better shine your eyes and don't get swept away by the flood" she smirks her tongue irritably at Nora who mocks her in return "Beef this much? Better go and text Richard, Tito, Dino, or what is that your albino dude's name?" Tade snaps quickly "He is a white Liberian, not an albino! Get the difference"

"Hey! Easy! You don't need to pounce on me, you know I am only kidding" Nora calms her but Tade being so concerned about Susan brings it up again "You were not going to say anything about Susan, it doesn't feel right. She has known the guy for how long? Three minutes? He sounds like a catfish to me". At that point, Nora had to admit she feels the same way but who is she to give any advice when she has zero experience of a

relationship, She can't give what she doesn't have

"whereas Susan is being overprotective of the guy and she isn't ready to listen to whatever anyone else had to say if it contradicts her opinion so the best thing to do is just support her and pray for her" Nora spurts carelessly but Tade isn't going to give up easily, she asks "Do anyone of you know Mr. Nigeria's full name? I need to run a background check on him, my instincts keep telling me he is catfish" Tade emphasizes that everything can be seen on social media these days unless Mr. Nigeria is a ghost or not a social media freak which she doubts because he looks like someone who would be a serial heartbreaker and men like that live rent-free on the gram. Chichi reminds her that they only got to know his first name that same day, how would they have an idea what his surname was if Susan never mentioned it, she further advises her to drop it so Susan wouldn't feel antagonized but Tade persists "I will check through Susan's Facebook, and her mom's, they have to share some mutual friends" Tade unlocks her Ipad as she gets to work.

Her phone notification chimes, Tade opens her

inbox and she is too stunned to speak "What the

hell!" Chichi who noticed her reaction almost

immediately, asks if she found out something

already about Susan's man but Tade shows her the text message she just received instead. Chichi reads out "You and your parents are invited to a family meeting that will be held at Awoderin's compound on Tuesday, 3:00 pm. It is solely organized because of you Tade Awoderin and your husband Jide Awoderin, make sure you attend"

Chichi's mouth drops open, "I told you this man has trouble in his sleeves"

"Then he has met his match" Tade replies as she collects her Ipad, "But calling your parents in for a meeting because their son shows up after all these years isn't reasonable at all" Nora submits as she collects the pad to read the message as well "I hope you already inform dad and mom so they won't be caught off guard by their memo?" Tade shakes her head to say no "Girl!! The

moment he showed at your doorstep, you ought to have called them! How are they going to react to this news now?" Nora corrects her disappointedly "Chichi you could have advised her to call them that night"

Chichi throws her hands in the air to counter Nora "It happened so fast and it was dead in the night"

"she could have called in the morning still, now

what are we going to do?" Nora paces around the

suddenly quiet room. Tade's phone rings startling them, she shows them her phone screen, the caller ID shows Dad "Now this is bad" Nora drags a seat and sits.
