Love Given Form

All across the Earth, there was an amazing variety of life, all under the sway, the passion, the generative power of Eros, the Primordial of Love.

It had no focus, no center, no guiding intelligence, just everywhere and within everyone. Primordials, Titans, Gods and Humans. They all had it in them.

Unfocused and untamed, until one day…

A swirling froth that seemed and simmered in the ocean. It had sat there for an untold number of years. Severed from the testicles of Ouranos, the sky, himself.

It created a mind for itself, becoming aware, shaping the water and foam into a perfect physical form. The power of Eros, the power of love given flesh at last.

What appeared from the surface of the sea was perfection in the female form. Swirls of arc-of-Covenant gold hair garlanded around her diamond crafted face. Her rapture-blue eyes could pierce even the most hardened of souls. She sauntered onto the island of Cyprus with her sculpted figure. Her waist was tapered and she had a burnished complexion.

A pair of arched eyebrows looked down on sweeping eyelashes. Delicate ears framed her button nose as her dazzling, pure white teeth gleamed as she blew some foam of her body.

It was Zephyros, the west wind, that spotted her first. He blew her sweet flagrance over the lands near and far. She smiled, laughing as the wind tousled her new born hair.

It seemed as if everything in the world wanted to please her. The water that coated her body didn't want to leave her as it reconfigured itself, forming into sparkling silks and flowing fabrics.

Her perfectly formed feet touched the Earth, and wild flowers sprang up in ecstatic ebullience of new life. And that was how the world met Aphrodite.

So great was her allure, nymphs pledged themselves to her at first glance.

The power of Eros has been felt since the time before time, The First Age. But now, for the first time, it had a consciousness, an avatar.

——

Deep, deep down in the Underworld. Hades looked skyward, as if surely he had been called, but no one spoke his name.

——

Deeper still, in Tartaros, the Titans stopped struggling against their prison. The impenetrable darkness penetrated by the power of love at last.

——

Far, far away on Olympus, home of the gods. The king felt it, "What-" He said in confusion.

——

"-On-" Poseidon, in the depths of his ocean sounded it.

——

Hera herself had felt it. "-Earth-". She looked to the direction of the source.

——

From his throne below, Hades muttered quietly, "-Was-"

——

"-That!?-" Demeter, tending to the garden of Olympus said to herself.

——

Even those who had never fell to Eros's power felt a disturbance. "Mmm….interesting." A figure sat in a meditative posture, searching timelines, trying to solve a great puzzle. "The wheels of time continue spinning and spinning." He said under his breath.

——

Upon the great Hearth of Olympus, Hestia sat in patience as she tended to the great fire. "Did you feel that Hestia?" A figure asks from beside her.

"Yes I did-" She told the person next to her. "Magnificent, wasn't it, Prometheus?"

"Sure was." He replied.

——

"Do you see it?" A beautiful woman next to Zeus asks. "Its on Cyprus, husband."

"Yes, Metis, I can see it." The king replies.

'What shall I do, my king.' Zeus asks someone mentally.

Someone answers back. < Welcome her. After getting her situated, get rid of Metis. >

'Of course my king!' Zeus answered back faithfully.

"We'll go down their together, summon-"

"We're already here brother." Zeus looks back and see's his siblings. Hera had a sour look on her face at seeing Metis.

"Where is Aemond?" He asks the group.

"Who knows?" Hera says sharply. "Doing whatever it is he does."

"….Then, let us go." Zeus and the Olympians immediately teleport away.

——

"So you all must be the Olympians? The girls have told me so much about you." A melodious voice greeted them when they arrived, as they lay their eyes on Aphrodite for the first time.

"Although…I think you're missing one." She said, her tone indicating her curiosity.

"Aemond is rather….recluse." Poseidon says as he leans on his trident, twirling his hair in his index finger. "Rather…shy. Unlike me."

"Oh, I've heard all about you, Poseidon, the earthshaker." Her voice inviting him with its flirty tone.

"You arrival has made quite a stir." Metis says before Poseidon gets to...handsy.

"Have I just arrived? I feel like I always been here." She motions with her fingers.

"I'd say you're new, I suspect we would've noticed you before." Hades says.

"And that begs the questions, what are you, who are you, where did you come from, and how did you do that?" Hera lists.

"You came from the sea, are you a nereid?" Poseidon asks, getting serious.

"The plants, they respond to you. Are you a nymph?" Demeter asks.

"Why dont you tell me what you think I am." She said slyly. The Olympians swarmed her with questions, ones she answered.

However Zeus stood back, thinking of the orders his master gave him, and how he could complete them. He saw as they jockeyed to be closer to her, a friendly rivalry now, but he could see it blossom into something more, something like war.

"Aphrodite!" The group of divine beings turned to Zeus. "I welcome you to the Olympians as our distant cousin!" He said jolly filled.

"Huh?" She unintelligibly exclaimed.

"You will come live with us on the most wondrous Olympus, home of the gods. You will drink our nectar and eat our ambrosia. And of course, as King, you will follow my orders-" He walks to her, grabs her shoulder and leans in close to her, face to face. -"OK?" he whispered to her, threateningly.

"Ok." She responded, a little intimidated.

All things everywhere felt the stirrings of love. Well...almost.
