Chapter 11: She’s Not Buying It…

“Ugh… my head…” Gina muttered, coming back to reality. Her mind was swimming with images of wolves running under a bleeding moon. Far more incoherent than the dream before her first day, but still something that had her shaking.

After a few moments, the memories of last night came flooding back, and nothing made sense. She glanced at the window, noting a new moon outside and a blanket of stars. ‘Night time’, she thought to herself. ‘But how long have I been asleep?’

She glanced down to her arm, recalling the intense pain she felt when the wolf bit her. Wait. When the wolf bit her?! Gina furrowed her brow, running the scenario through her mind again. She’d been sitting at the dinner table, waiting for Zaros to return from… gang violence? Or something? Competitors against the company attacking the house. Which was incredibly strange on its own, but then there had been a wolf attack. She’d recognized that wolf, it’d been the one in her apartment not too long ago.
