Chapter 26: A New Resolve

Jecht nodded, no remorse in his gaze. Zaros spoke up, “He did. On my orders.” The only response from the human was to furrow her brow and just give a second nod. Zaros exchanged a glance with Jecht and let out a light sigh. “Would you like to rest in your room to absorb everything, Gina?”

Relieved, she said, “I would. Thank you.”

In her new room, she approached the attached personal bathroom to prepare for a shower. The steam rose into the air, relaxing her muscles and soothing some of the cuts on her body. Herbs had been provided to ease any wounds she obtained in the attack on BAI.

Gina eased into the water, going through everything that happened over the past week or so through her head. Stress was causing somewhat of a headache right now, and she was trying to figure out whether she was spooked or not. ‘Killing the captive is a bit terrifying,’ she thought to herself. ‘But, given what Jecht said, it was needed.’ After all, the safety of the pack was at risk because of them.
