Chapter 39: A Devastating Loss for the Rogues

In this world, good times came to an end pretty quickly, especially when a rogue pack who did not acknowledge the Moon Goddess as theirs was involved. Wolves rushed through the city, splashing through murky water and letting out low, angry growls.

‘Forward,’ the lead wolf demanded through the link. This was not the pack protecting New York City by any means… These were the rogues.

The lead wolf had dirty white fur, matted with blood he didn’t bother to clean off throughout the night. It was pointless and allowed him to be more intimidating, after all. The damn abomination that ran the city wouldn’t be phased, but these worthless humans, perhaps, would be. He darted into an alleyway, where a short screen was cut off by the squelching of flesh.
