'Did I get tricked? Their king doesn't look like a dishonest type of person.'
Watching Alexander's expression change, Samuel could guess what he was thinking. He quickly reassured the diplomat, "Sir Lucas, let me clarify a certain fact for you."
"Go on."
"Ryntum had no intention of participating in this war. Therefore, please calm down and listen to what I will say first."
Alexander Lucas didn't say anything. His silence acts as a signal for Samuel to continue with the explanation.
"The Kingdom of Inver has asked for our help. They wished for Ryntum to side with them and help them defeat you. However, our king disagrees. Instead, he wants this war to stop and sends me as a mediator."
"I see," Alexander nods. He was pleased to know Ryntum's stance in this matter. "Certainly this war has been going on for too long. Don't look at our vast number and think we're fine. We are also experiencing substantial pressure on our end."
