Saving Xia Ru

"Miss Xia," a nurse in the ward called out, pausing her actions and stepping back as Xia Wan hurried in.

Xia Wan arrived at Xia Ru's bedside and gently examined her condition.

"What medications have been administered?" she inquired, eyeing the tray beside Xia Ru's bed.

"We haven't administered any medications today," the nurse replied softly.

Xia Wan's eyebrows furrowed slightly. She gave the nurse a brief look and said, "Okay, thank you. You may leave for now."

After a moment's hesitation, the nurse made her way out of the ward.

Chen Mo, who had been standing at the door, watched the nurse leave before stepping further inside. "Did you find anything?" he asked.

Xia Wan, focused, placed her hand on Xia Ru's wrist, checking her pulse. She remained silent for a while before finally releasing her hand.

"Please, everyone, step outside," she said to Doctor Li and Chen Mo, who were closely following her actions.
