A threatening promise

"What did you just call me?" Loukas's demeanor changed. He froze at her description of him.

"Young lady, I'd advise you to get out now! That's enough!" A slim brunette sitting by his side cautioned her.

Phoebe stared at her before it hit her. This was the famous Felicia Jackson. The brunette model who had won so many awards for her slender curvy body and her prowess in modeling.

Loukas and Felicia were a couple and they had so many fans. How hadn't she recognized them?

"No, Felicia. It's ok. It's not something I can't handle." Loukas smirked.

Since this lady wasn't willing to get out, he would have to force her out.

Phoebe pinched herself for her sudden outburst. She shouldn't have said that but he had pushed her to say it. How could she have lost control in the presence of eight people!?

Phoebe felt bad. She didn't want to be like her father who didn't have self-control and did as he liked without an apology. She had vowed to be totally different from him so she apologized.

"Look, I apologize. I am sorry. Please just hear me out. This is my only chance to come here. Next year, I might not have enough money to make it. Can I redo the audition? Please." Phoebe begged.

"I'm sorry too but we do not have the luxury of time to watch you repeat such a soggy performance. My brand does not care about lowlife models like you who would probably never make it to fame" Loukas replied her.

He remained unyielding to her apology. Loukas didn't believe in such apologies.

"You should have thought better before you spewed those words out! I don't need your godforsaken apology!" He fired back.

If there was any iota of patience in him before, it had all wiped out immediately she passed her boundary by calling him a conceited jerk.

"You should probably give up on your dreams to become a model because you don't fit it. You can go back to… where does she work again?" He looked to the model by the door for a reminder while twisting his nose in irritation.

As if her work wasn't something to be proud of.

"A waitress in a restaurant downtown." the guy supplied the answer from the pad he was holding.

How had they known that she was a waitress? Phoebe wondered.

"Ohh a waitress? Yeah, that probably would you suit you better than modeling. I heard that you are good at the job." he said without caring how hurtful his words were.

Phoebe swallowed at the impact of his words. He had hurled them at her like she was his child. This wasn't her first time modelling. She had modeled for local brands to make ends meet.

Most of them always loved her and came back to patronize her through Morgan. That was how she had been able to sponsor her bills. Loukas was making her feel like an amateur at this.

"You know what, I always looked up to you as a role model but I'm surprised this is the real you. You have no human feelings whatsoever."

"I am not speaking for myself alone, I am speaking for the others you had rejected without mercy. Most of them cried so much outside. How can you be so heartless? How can you not care about how we feel because you are richer than we are?"

Phoebe didn't care. The worse he would do was to throw her out because she knew he wouldn't allow her to audition again. At least, she would have said her mind. She couldn't leave here with such heavy heart.

"You are being rude here and I will throw you out! What rubbish! You had better be thankful that Loukas is tolerant! I wouldn't waste a bit of my precious time trading words with a bitch like you!"

Felicia couldn't her anger again. She stood up to address Phoebe. Who was this bitch who thought she could cuss at Loukas and get off the hook easily?

"Oh yes, you can throw me out for saying the truth. That is what the likes of you do. I am not in any way surprised." Phoebe lashed out at Felicia.

Felicia's temper soared at Phoebe's reply.

Before she moved, Loukas held her back.

"I will handle it." he said while Felicia looked at him. He nodded. Then she took her seat.

"You have not only insulted me but you have insulted my girlfriend. Now, I will no longer just leave you alone. If I do that, that doesn't make me Loukas Hamilton. It makes me a weak man." Loukas threatened with anger in his eyes.

"For all, you have said, I will ensure that no brand throughout America ever signs you into their brand!" Loukas roared.

Most of the judges flinched at the sound of his voice. Loukas wasn't one to get angry easily. The girl had touched a sore spot.

"I mean everything that I just said. I don't make empty promises, Miss Phoebe Gardner. Watch out for the repercussion because it wouldn't be good. Your foolishness has earned you this! Now get lost!" He shouted.

"Get lost?!" Morgan heard that last sentence.

What were those noises he had been hearing? Where the hell was Phoebe and who was Loukas telling to get lost? He wondered, hoping that it wasn't Phoebe.

If she was the one, what could she have done to earn such a remark from him? Morgan had known that there was more to it when Phoebe had spent close to thirty minutes there.

He had thought all was going well and maybe they liked her skills until he heard Loukas's steely voice. He paced around the room. What had Phoebe done this time around?

"Leon, get this tramp out of my sight! I do not want to ever see her again! See to it!" Loukas motioned to the model who stood by the door and he moved to carry out the instructions.
