He got up from the wheelchair by himself.
Stella turned around to grab a small knife and tried to pull the pumpkin off its skin.
Jasper looked at her back with a thoughtful gaze.
Stella handed him the knife and the peeled pumpkin and said, "Thank you for your help."
The doctors looked at each other and ate quickly, intending to give Stella and Jasper some privacy.
"Stella, leave Sandro to us," the last doctor who left the kitchen said before stepping out.
"Thank you," Stella said with a smile.
All of a sudden, she felt that her life wasn't bad at all. It was easy and fulfilling to her, and every day felt like a sunny day.
She put the salmon fillet into the microwave oven to defrost, then simmered some tomato sauce for herself.
All of a sudden, she remembered that Jasper couldn't speak, so if she didn't, the whole kitchen would be very quiet.
