"If she is willing to borrow money from me or accept my help, she would never do what she's doing now."

Matthew's voice suddenly became low. "As a friend, are you willing to watch her fall?"

"Why do you think she's degenerating?"

Eliza smiled faintly. "She's making money by relying on her own abilities. Why is she degenerating?"

"I think she would rather use her current way of earning money to help her own family than coming to me."
