Chapter 46
Sally got ready and returned the book back to the library. As soon as she returned the book the rain started to fall heavily. But she had to walk a little bit to get a cab, so she walked through the rain and luckily she got a car but she was all wet and soaked, The car got to Chris' house but it was still raining. She rushed out of the cab and ran to Chris'house.
"Oh mine all you clothes are wet let me get you some of my clothes to wear" Chris said worriedly
" No don't worry, it will dry"Sally said
" No you will catch a cold, just go to my room and take anything you want and wear"Chris and Sally nodded
she went to Chris' room and all the clothes there were big but she finally got a shorts and a T-shirt, the T-shirt was a little big but it was better than the other t-shirts.
Sally got downstairs after she was done.
"I thought you were having twins in there, what took you so long" Chris said and Sally chuckled and said "I couldn't get my size all your clothes are big"
"Hahahaha but you look cute in this one" Chris said
"Thanks shall we continue now?" Sally said
"Yeah sure" Chris said
As they were working on the project, a thunder strike and Sally shouted and hugged Chris closing her eyes
"Hey it's okay clam down" Chris said hugging her back
Sally pulled herself from the hug and said"Sorry am a little bit scared of that"
"It's fine and no need to say sorry" Chris said
They then continued and they were almost done but it was late and Sally had to go home.
"Hey let's go I will walk you home" Chris said
"Huh? I mean... don't worry... I uhm... I will take a cab home" Sally said stammering
"No, Even if you want to take a cab I go with you, I just want to make sure you are safely home" Chris said frowning
"Oh come on Chris am not a baby" Sally said
"Yes I know that, You are a girl Sally and anything can happen" Chris said and Sally remembered the news of a teenager who was raped by a taxi driver so Chris was afraid that the same thing would happen to her
"Just allow me to go with you" Chris continued saying
