Slave quarters

"Your worst nightmare.." King Darin glared at her before grinning evily.

"W-What do you mean?! I don't even know you!" Annabelle protested, Her eyes searching for some escape before something scratched her.

When she saw blood on her arm, she noticed that this man was not normal. He had long claws that just scratched her. She tried to blink back the tears but the pain was excruciating.

"You wolves are all the same. Cunning to get your ways..but not for long." King Darin's eyes dilated from silver to red.

"It's been long since I had a real meal." Anna was alarmed immediately. "Y-You're a vampire!".

"You guessed that right. I'm a King Vampire, King Darin."

"You kidnapped me! What did I do!." She was secretly reaching for a mug as she tried to prolong their conversation.

"Not you. Your family"

"I don't understand anything..My grandma Fiona was right, you're all cruel!" As if hearing nothing but the name, King Darin's eyes dilated back to silver and his claws retreated to human fingers.

"You know Fiona-" Before King Darin continued, Annabelle smashed the glass Jug on his head. When he tended to his wounds, She used the small opportunity to run through the door.

"ARRGH! YOU'LL PAY FOR THIS ,WOLF!" King Darin sounded enraged on her means out. She didn't bother to lock the door, she was running for her life right now. She knew he was only meters behind her, so she needed to hide quickly.

She saw a door at a point of closing with light inside. Without delay, she hastily probed into the room.

She glanced at a young boy as he stared at her confusingly.

He also had silver eyes so was that King Darin's son? She wondered.

"Pls can you hide me from a person" Anna blurted out.

"Who's that" The silvered eyed boy asked. To Annabelle, his voice was soothing but she had to focus.

"Uhh.. A scary person?" Why did she say that? And why was she nervous by this silver eyed boy.

"Ok. Hide behind the door and try to control your heart beat" He instructed. "Why?"

"Because if the person's a vampire then he could directly track you..and I can hear your heart beating wild" He averted his grey eyes away while she blushed. Then he cleared his throat.

"Hide, someone's coming" Annabelle hid behind the door and the boy sat on his bed pretending to read a magazine. She tried hard not to peer or look at him and as she wanted to take one last glance, The door busted open.

"Andrien, did you see a girl anywhere?" King Darin inquired in rave. Astonishment was what Andrien felt.

He thought the person this girl was hiding from was either one of the visitors or someone else. But why was it his father? A man he was afraid of all his life. Who was this brave girl who dared him? As if giving up, Andrien pointed at the door. Annabelle couldn't believe that this boy betrayed her. But why couldn't she believe? He was King Darin's son after all, but for a second she thought he was different.

Now she knew that she couldn't be sure about anyone here. The door. Before she knew it, the king pulled her out from her hiding spot to where she didn't know. This time she didn't protest, only dumbfounded of what the boy did to her and now she should just consider herself dead.

"Don't kill her" was what reflected the room. The King turned to his son in incredulity.

"What did you say?.." Maybe he heard wrong, the king thought.

"I said don't kill her...She can become one of our slaves instead", Now Anna was aghast.

He saved her just to make her their slave? Unbelievable! King Darin smiled more wickedly. "That's my son!" He said and called one of the servants who came abruptly. "Take her to the slave quarters"

The servant nodded and vigorously yanked Anna to that place. This made her to hate Andrien even more than his father.
