The beginning of disasters 2

The next day, Osama and I got ready for the trip, so we gathered all the necessary equipment, clothes, and enough food for days.

Unfortunately, it was more difficult than we thought, as Samah's house was far away, up on a mountain.

The mountain was high and covered with tall and dense trees.

To get to Sameh we had to go through a very big and scary forest.

It was necessary to reach her home before sunset, because if it was dark, we would be food for predators.

We continued to climb for hours without food or water, and reduced the rest times by half, and tried as much as possible to save the amount of water, but all this was useless, as the forest is large, and the dense trees shade us from the right path, and we ended up in the arms of the night and in the midst of the threat of wolves and the rest of the animals.

The night was dark and the  leaves of the trees, which obscured the moonlight, made the situation worse.   I was hiding behind Osama  and  never left him, and he was not disturbed by that, rather he began to reassure me and talk to me about the most ridiculous things so that I would forget my fear, but there was no benefit in that.

The very frightening sounds of animals were surrounding us from all sides, and it was not long until the animals themselves surrounded us... It was a herd of wolves.

And when we were most afraid, we heard a strange scream and suddenly the wolves left slowly.

Out of the pitch dark and through the pack of wolves an old woman appeared and said:

"You've finally come, owner of the North Key… I've been waiting for you, but who's next to you… You didn't reveal the secret of the magic chests to him, did you?… Foolish girl...didn't you read the letter?"

Who would have thought that we would meet Samah like this... I will admit that it was scary and I had no excuses, the message was really clear... I feel as if I broke an important rule in the lives of the owners of magic chests... I was really so scared that Osama hid me behind him and said:

"She is free whether she wants to tell me or not… Do you think you have the right to express your opinion after you endangered a girl of only seventeen years of age for some ridiculous will… Do you even know what she suffered because of you?… Especially you… Because of you, her grandparent divorced."

I have never seen Osama so strict, he seemed to hate her, but let's be honest, he was right in every word he said.

Sameh looked at him and stared at his blue eyes, then said:

"I know you... My agreement to stay with us and my silence is proof of my guilt... You can say it is an apology... I will not ask for forgiveness, but I will pray for you to become human again."

Then she asked us to accompany her.

We got to her house, showered and had dinner.

And at the dining table, Sameh told us about my grandfather's biggest secret and that he did not betray my grandmother with her... All the owners of the magic chests and their families were in danger at that time, so my grandfather cut off all ties with his wife and children to protect them.

I had mixed feelings, as my trust  in my grandfather was justified, but it is disturbing that no one knows these facts except me, especially my grandmother...

The next day, I woke up early to see the sunrise and was surprised by Samah's waiting for me .

She looked at me and said:

"Please forgive my friends... You are suffering because of our selfish decision... I will give you advice... Don't trust him... Never trust the traitor among the chest owners. Please kill him before he kills you. You can't change him, his heart had already froze for years. "

she hugged me Then she whispered in my ear:

"He is watching us and he is watching you... No one will escape his revenge... You are our hope... I will die soon so I will leave you my note. Don't tell anyone about it, even your friend."

I couldn't pronounce a single word, and when I realized what had happened, it was a disaster.

Samah was killed. The whole room was stained  with blood. Osama covered my eyes with his hands and pushed me away from there, then brought me a glass of water so that I could calm down.

I couldn't stop crying, but I mustered up my courage and said:

"Three owners of magic chests died. This means that the fourth is the traitor. This also means that there are three new owners of my generation. We have to find them and stop the fourth owner...If he is from my grandfather's generation, then this means that he is an old man who should not exceed sixty years of age.In other words, we must narrow our search to those who are sixty years of age or older... Please help me."

Osama agreed to help me and then asked me if I hated the fourth owner because he killed my grandfather. I couldn't answer at that time but I am unable to forgive him.

I don't know why Osama asked me, but it's probably because he doesn't want me to fall into the illusion of revenge.

After Osama left to collect our things, I heard knocking on the window... It was a white dove, which I think belonged to Samah, with a note in its mouth.I wanted to tell Osama about her, but I remembered Samah's last words and was worried that I would put him in danger, so I kept the matter a secret and hid the note in my clothes.I know that I promised him not to hide anything from him, but this is for his own good.
