Chapter 32: Archer again!!

The giant grasshopper started to focus on me instead of Kamran as it did not feel threatened by his strength.

But my speed has threatened it and will not give me a chance to sneak up on it.

I decided to go along with it as it seem to not get distracted by Kamran.

Now, my plan is to distract it as its full focus is on me. Kamran will have to do a sneak attack on it as it is not focusing on him. The plan should work theoretically.

All I have to do is to keep it focused on me and stop it from moving for a few seconds for Kamran to land the lethal blow.

After fifteen more minutes, I got an opportunity and used it. I held the grasshopper in one place for a few minutes and Kamran came from behind and landed a fatal blow through its heart.

The grasshopper died within seconds. Kamran asked me to have the monster's core, meat and skin as I did not take any of it from the water elemental steel rhino which I killed to save him.

Since it is of wind elemental giant grasshopper, it took us all we had to bring it down. But Kamran rejected it saying he was just cannon fodder in this battle and I did all the work.

I took the monster core and also the meat and the skin as insisted by Kamran. We decided to continue hunting monsters for another two hours before leaving the forest for the Central city.

We both boarded the same armoured car to reach Central city. We went to the market to sell the cores and meat. Kamran said that it will give more profit to us than selling in Hunter's guild.

I got 20% extra by selling the monster cores and meat in the market than in Hunter's guild.

We went to a restaurant to have our dinner before going our separate ways to our home. We have decided to hunt together in the future. We will take two days' rest and one day to hunt.

This will help me to recuperate and make important decisions about my future. My first decision is to become an archer again. It will help me to fight in the long-range and mid-range now.

Since I can buy a grade-2 bow which doesn't need arrows, I don't need to worry about buying quivers of arrows. I will still keep the knight-grade sword for close combat as I am not that proficient in using a bow at close range.

Once I am proficient enough to use my bow at close range, I will sell the sword. Now I need to buy a bow with fire element infused so it will help me in battle.

"You need to stop using your sword in front of strangers Allen" I heard Kamran saying which brought me out of my thought.

"What?" I asked him to make sure I heard him correctly.

"You heard me. People will kill you to get your sword if they get to know what you have." he said again.

I nodded in agreement and was shocked to see that he found my only secret within a day.

"I am not planning to use it soon. I am going to buy a bow so I can become an archer again" I replied to him.

"That's a good decision. I can take you to a blacksmith who can help you by crafting a new bow." he said.

"Craft a bow? I thought the bows from Hunter's guild are the best" I asked.

"Yes, they are the best only for the current stage, but for people like you who have battle power exceeding their stage, you need unique weapons." he said.

"Even my weapon is crafted by this blacksmith. I can continue using this till and even after I get to create my soul weapon." he said looking at my confused face.

The weapon Kamran was telling was a weapon that has no grade. If one has that weapon, he or she can use it till it breaks or decides to stop using it.

I was wrong to think it is just a grade-3 spear and shield as it is beyond the grading system. Even my Turtle shell armour is not graded armour, so I can use it at any stage.

Soul weapons can be created once a person reaches the Master stage. It will be hard to create as the materials needed for it to rare and the crafting needs to be done by the person.

No one can create a soul weapon for someone else. But we will get a chance to create multiple soul weapons as each stage after Master Sergeant will give us a soul core to create weapons of our desire.

I decided to use this opportunity to craft my bow and use it till it breaks. Soul weapons are good and one will use them as a last line of defence and will not use it at the beginning of the battle.

After our dinner, we went to our homes and decided to meet tomorrow to visit the blacksmith. Kamran said that this blacksmith will already have a few bows which I can choose from.

But first I wanted to know what are materials used in crafting the bow as it is very important. Each material used in a weapon can increase or decrease the battle power of the user.

Since I am a low-level specialist, I need to be sure that all the materials will increase my battle power and not decrease it.

Kamran has already sent me the location of the blacksmith and told me to meet him there tomorrow morning.

After reaching home, I took a shower and was thinking about my decision to craft a bow.

There are only advantages in crafting a weapon than buying graded weapons. I don't have to replace my bow everything I level up. This will save me a lot of credits.

If the bow is powerful enough, I don't have to buy another weapon for my whole life.
