We will meet again

Darkness, It was all that the pegasus could see until they reached the edge of the world. They look around, and see others monsters of her kind, as well as others trapped in the same predicament as her. She tried her hardest to yell out to the nearest monster, but her voice remained silent. It seems that everyone's voice is silent, only leaving them with their thoughts to keep us company.

'I can only remember back to what happened before. I was… angry. And I left my tribe after a falling out with my mother before succumbing to death from a man with a book. But that wasn't my fault right? Die to a unicorn in a war vs to a human, either way would have led to death. But it looks like I have to live with my consequences then. Perhaps this is what humans describe as the afterlife.

The pegasus closes her eyes as she slowly accepts the embrace of death, only to feel a rumble moments later as cracks form in front of her, sucking her in with a gust of wind and dropping her off in an unfamiliar area. The land around her turns blood red as the crack that pulled her in starts to form in the sky all around her.

All the monsters around her celebrate their new freedom by heading toward the nearest village. The pegasi with a couple other passive creatures look around confused at what happened, and jump out the way of a three headed black dog following shortly behind the group of monsters.

Not wanting to die a second time to humans. The pegasi immediately flies off into a nearby forest to avoid contact. She stayed there for days, dodging the strongest creatures and humans to stay alive. Even going so far as to use her last resort of eating grass, but that was unable to quench her hunger.

With only option left. The pegasi exits the forest for the first time in days and comes across a small farm house. Sneaking inside the barn connected to the outside, the pegasi goes wild on all the hay inside, as not a single bale would survive as soon as she put her eyes on it. It was only once she was half way through with her 4th bale, would a girl with green hair fully open the barn door to deal with the commotion.

The pegasus was immediately on guard as the girl approached, but her soothing and caring nature calmed the horse down as the girl got closer and patted his head. A couple hours pass as the girl patches up a couple of wounds from the forest, and wraps the horses hooves with some hay. And with the pegasi wounds fully tended for, she spreads her winds and takes to the air. Thanking the kind girl as he left.

The pegasi soon landed back into the forest, and as it was about to fall asleep, it smelt something delicious. Walking over to the smell, she spots a plate of meat. Seeing the obvious trap she starts to walk away, but the meat itself was just the first layer. A net meant for capturing large creatures sprung as soon as the pegasi stepped on it, leaving the horse captured.

A couple of hunters immediately sprang from their bush to find their prey, but looked disappointed as they captured the wrong creature.

"Dammit Kenta! You said the meat will attract the bear."

"It's not my fault a horse came here first!"

"Hey boss, this isn't a normal horse."

"The hell do you mean?" The muscular hunter asked.

"It seems this one has… wings?"

"Are you saying this HORSE! Is it actually a bird, Laylin?"

"Umm, probably?"

"Don't give me that. Throw it in the back, we'll take it back to that monster guys along with the bear. If it even exists."

"Yes boss!" Both hunters shouted. The duo cut down the horse trap and tossed her into the back of a cart. The horse did all it could to break out, but the ropes were too strong for the beast to handle. Forcing her to give up with any plans of escape, and wait for whatever plans the group may have.
