Chapter 54.

Zach's POV.

I started running through the camp shooting at any shadows or people that made their way over to me. My brothers would never run up to me unannounced. Especially considering that we were fighting for our lives right now.

"Bang. Bang. Bang."

Bullets left my gun and bodies fell to the ground I was near where the main fighting was going on.

Part of me wanted to check inside the tents for survivors, however with all the fighting going on and the number of friendly soldiers I could see. I knew a lot of us had been killed in our sleep.

A dark spot formed into my heart at the thought of their deaths.

Steeling myself I reloaded my weapon with my last clip. I had 17 rounds left to take care of the enemy. My sidearm of choice was just a standard Glock 17 with a custom grip and sights. I liked using this gun because you could get them fairly cheap, and they held a ton of rounds.

Jumping back into the shadows so as to not be seen. I slowly made my way around the corner of a tent and saw that the Black Death Order was in a fairly big group. They were all huddled around five members from this camp, none of whom I recognized right away.

Then I remembered that they were utility crew, not fighters. Their main job here was to keep the base clean and everyone fed. Now they were being tied and beaten by a group of attackers that we could stop from infiltrating.

'Shit. We need to get them to safety.' I thought to myself as I counted the number of attackers.

"One. Four. Eight. Okay so there is only eight I can easily take care of that many." I counted and then moved into a better position.

One of them stayed on the outskirts of the group, so I took advantage of that and attacked him.

Throwing him to the ground with a hard thud. The man squirms and rolled all around trying to buck me off. However, I was a great hand to hand fighter. So, his efforts were in vain.

We were kicking up some dust now and I didn't want his buddies to come find us. So, I hit him in the back of the head hard stunning him. Not losing that chance I got up and dragged him into the shadows.

Once we were in the shadows, I wrapped my hands around his throat and squeezed as hard as I could.

His eyes bulged and panic could be seen flash through his eyes. However, my mercy had run out and after a few more seconds of pressure the attacker was no more.

"Now on to the next one." I mumbled.

However right as I was about to attack once again. A soft whistle sounded behind me, and I froze. I knew that whistle.

I slowly turned around to find the rest of my brothers coming up behind me. Some were pretty battered and bruised but all of them were still alive.

I smiled knowingly.

The enemy was about to get thoroughly fucked.
