Contract with the beggars

——————

And as the word of his deed spread, the word Nameless Mercenary became common as the rising star of Mercenary works. Many was tempted to hire him but nonetheless still no one did as it is not yet verified how skilled he truly is, maybe the current rumours were just fake or if not fake exagerated. Hiring him on their view was risky.

And of course there was still no way for them to contact him, all they know is that he is hirable due to the info that also states that a certain merchant group hired him to assassinate the young master of the Golden Merchant.

In the room provided by the Blue Southern Sky Merchant Group Jin was there contemplating something while at the same time fiddling with the strings.

It was his self-created training method where he would manipulate the strings through the use of Qi and shape it to various shapes and forms.

While he was fiddling he was also thinking of something and that is what method will he use to make contact with others who wants to hire him.

And upon thinking for a minute he finally found an answer, getting up from his seat he took a an outer robe from the closet and walked out of the room.

He headed out and roamed around the city until he found a beggar with two knots tight to his hips.

He stopped at in front of the beggar and put a silver tael in the bowl, looking up the beggar nodded at him and stood up from his seat before walking out while the latter followed.

They walked around the wide system of the alley and took several turns before stopping at a fairly good house with beggars lying around.

He gestured at Jin to follow him inside the house and in there when he saw a beggar with four knots.

"So what service do you require?" The beggar asked Jin.

"I want you to spread a certain type of information around the city."

"Hmmm and what would that information be?"

"Ways to get contact with the Nameless Mercenary."

"Hoho! Well that would certainly help, there were some people who wants to contact the Nameless Mercenary for the last few days and they have been bothering us poor beggars since then."

"Can you only spread it only here in Quangho?"

"Don't worry about it with our intel network you can even spread this info around the entire country but of course this would cause you much."

"No need for that just here in Quangho would be fine."

"I see very well then" the beggar then pulled out something from one of the drawers and wrote something on to it, even though he is a beggar it seems that he is not illiterate contrary to his appearance.

After a few strokes of his brush he stopped and pulled out a seal from his raggy sleeves and sealed it.

"Read this contract carefully and if you agree with this terms just put your signature here at the bottom part."

Turning the papers to face his way, Jin read the contract carefully before putting his sign at the bottom, after witting down his signature he pulled out a paper from his sleeves which contains the method to get in contact with him and handed it over to the beggar.

"With this the contract is signed!" He said before cupping his hands and giving a brief bow to Jin, the latter responded the same way before getting up from his seat before walking out.

When the client was finally gone, he looked at the paper that his client handed to him and contemplated.

'Sigh, it seems that Quangho will become quite noisy for a while'

"OI!! Beggars!!"

"WHO ARE YOU CALLING A BEGGAR Huh? YOu BEGGAR!!"

"Shut up!! just write this down on the archive and fetch some second knot disciple to spread this!!"

"Yeah yeah"

"Tch ungrateful bastards!"

Just the usual banter of the beggars, though he may sound disrespectful in truth he actually respects him. In the beggar sect positions are determined by the number of knots they have for example: two knots means second rank disciple, three knots means first rank, four means high class, five knots means elder, six knots refers to Leader Candidate, seven knots means Sect leader and eighth means Former sect leader.

Though they use vulgar language and unruly attitude in reality they are one of the most chivalrous groups in Jianghu as they uphold honor within any contract and would go through any length to uphold their contract honorfully, making them even more righteus than some of the major sect of murim as some of them have already lost their way and have become already corrupted.

The beggars may display that attitude towards their higher ups but in reality they respect the high ranking ones with respect.
