'What is wrong with this man?' she mumbled inwardly with a frown of confusion. 
The man whom she thought was seductive and appetizing just moments ago, was crying loudly like a child. His maturity and manly attitude regressed into a spoiled child’s attitude.

Ghost of My Heart

Mira glared at him and punched him hard on the chest. Danny cried in pain, but then, he smiled as he stuck out his tongue, teasing her. 


Mira ignored him and poured another glass but, Danny stopped her, “Don’t get too drunk now, honey. I want you to be sober later.” 


“Leave me be. Since you asked me out for some drinks, I want to get wasted,” Mira said, feeling dreary. 


Her head, however, was getting dizzier by the minute. Danny had ordered strong liquor and, because she drank almost half of it, the effect finally kicked in. She had intended to forget her sorrow if she managed to pass out. But, Danny won’t let that happen because he controlled her intake. 


“Alright, let’s go home now. You’re getting drunk and drunk,” Danny said. He stood up and picked her handbag. 


However, Mira refused to move. She stubbornly sat still and poured liquor into her glass. Her cheeks reddened due to the effect of the alcohol that finally took control of her body.
