Chapter 149

"What did she say to you?" Rosella's voice snapped Helena back to her senses.

Helena turned her face towards Rosella and smiled sweetly. "Ah, she just commented on my perfume. It seems she's not a fan of it."

She grabbed a mug and handed it over to Rosella. "Forget about that, aunt. Here, I've prepared your favourite drink just as you like it. It's best to drink it while it's still warm."

Rosella received the mug without much thought. Then, she took a sip of the warm drink, which was easy on her tastebuds. She stood still and stared into blankness, as she contemplated alone. "I can't believe she's married..." she murmured.

Helena took the other mug and sipped slowly. "We can't expect people to stay the same, aunt..." she said.

Rosella held up her face and eyed her. "Are you taking her side, now?" Her tone went cold.

Helena chortled and shook her head. "I am not. I'm merely saying that after a certain time, people would change. I am not taking her side when I say that."
