Chapter 1 - A WHISPER FROM THE STARS

And with the beautiful tune of each string, woven with the lightness and intensity of each passing moment. With a scenery as timeless as your first smile, with a drop of the blood which seeps deeply in your skin. A feverish kind of moment, and gaze filled the uneasiness which breaks your gorgeous heart. A ticklish kind of feeling, and a sudden goodbye, … as cruel as time itself.

“Have you ever stared pain in the face? The unrealizable agony, it’s a concept which hasn’t been fully explored to its peak, and yet the being which stood in front of me had an interesting kind of charm. With smile which radiates gorgeously through every corner of the house, with a pitiful kind of command filling my almost empty heart with a moment to let it wither with the pain, a squeaky-clean look, with a gaze which seemed forbidden, zoning on his beautiful tear-filled eyes, and cheeks which put cream to shame with their sparkly white skin and a glow which sums it up. His hair looked beautifully groomed with a uniformly well-made tux and poise gestures. He sat right next to me as we spoke endlessly drifting into our thoughts after every new topic which follows the other, and with every emotion which he shared with me, I could feel the chaotic feelings which brought agony to his heart, and as much as we tried to keep things as light as possible, he was not able to keep his heavy heart aches to himself.

Although my heart kept drowning endlessly in his eyes, I was only able to notice the tree which was right in front of us as we sat on the black coloured sofa together, looking into each others’ eyes. Everything seemed dark for some reason, but the spot where the tree was located was almost filled with light, more like I was being drawn to it on purpose. It seemed as if we were meant to notice it at any cost, yet I could only notice the emptiness of the tree. It resembled the eyes of the man in front of me greatly, from the quietness of each branch to the stems which seemed well inserted to the soil, he had a beautiful gaze, a warm kind of closeness, yet his aura was rather distant and cold. He just sat there looking at me, he was not able to utter any words to me for long minutes, and those minutes turned into ours, and the more that I sat there the more time seemed pass endlessly.

And I woke up, and for a second I could still feel the coldness of his aura which surrounded me endlessly.” Kevin explained hesitantly as he kept a tight grip on the pen which he had in his left hand, with his other hand placed slightly on his forehead, showing us the emotions, which had been tormenting him for hours from the dream which had appeared to him subconsciously, with no explanation or even a reasonable reason behind. And as Kevin sat on the couch, right in between Lisa, who sat the right side of the couch and Dawn sat on the left side. They both had interesting looks on their faces, and without spending another single second of silence, Lisa took Kevin’s hand, while looking at her diary which had been placed in her bag, which was placed right next to her, leaning on the couch slightly. She then proceeded to talk about her dream as well, she said, “The weather was rather beautiful in my dream, I mean, it was a perfectly sunny day, with lots of birds in the sky and the scenery in front of me was breath-taking. There stood a big, fully grown tree, firmly powerful branches as they carry on the weight of the leaves endlessly, with their beautiful dark-green colour, and a glow which shimmered effortlessly from the sun which shone on it.

I stood in front of it, as I wondered into my thoughts and as I was about to take a seat on the ground, as to fully enjoy its simplicity, I could not help but stumble on the ground with a pitiful face, reddened by the anger which I felt together with the embarrassment which filled itself in my heart. I remember witnessing a beautiful couple right next to me, the man who held the woman in his arms had a beautiful glow on his face, he looked like he was making the most the time he had with her, as if he knew something would happen to them in the long run. And even though the scene was completely gorgeous, I couldn’t help but feel sad. For hours I watched them showing of their affections with much passion, as beautiful as the sun when it emerges at dawn, to bring upon its beautiful light which brightens our gloomy days. I watched them for as long as I could, but after a few minutes, I could only notice the tears which streamed down the man’s face endlessly. He had a broad smile put on, with beautiful dimples, a high nose, and hair which was brilliantly groomed for a man, as he wore a black tux which fit him like a glove.

The woman’s face was hidden from me though, she had flawlessly dark hair, the kind which looked brand-new to the point where I tried to touch them to get a good feel of it, the more I pursued them further the sadder the whole scene was.

Originally the man kept a beautiful smile on his face, the kind you try very hard to contain, but just can not keep under wraps. As I witnessed his teary eyes, his peachy lips sifted from a beautiful smile, to a forced grin, a purely pitiful soul stood in front of me, yet he kept a tight grip on the faceless woman in his arms. It appears the thought of her leaving would produce a rift in his heart, thus he kept her tightly in his arms, with every kind of struggle his eyes portrayed for my eyes to witness, he kept her tightly close to his chest.

I kept watch of his restlessness until I could not take it anymore, at first, I tried to leave the sight I had been exposed too, but his teary gaze tore me into infinite pieces, with his dreadful expression, broken lips, and a drifted soul. I chose to get closer to the couple instead, but the weirdest thing occurred, the more I tried to get closer to them the further away they seem to get, oddly enough, their feet were kept grounded the whole time, yet they were able to move away from me much faster than I was able to get closer to them. The moment I started giving up, as I slowly stopped and trued to figure out what was really going on, I heard my mother’s voice right next to me, and I woke up.”

Dawn looked at both of her peers who had already spoke about their dreams, as she started to speak about her own little dream, Kevin interrupted with, “Was it scary, or was it just creepy in your dream Dawn?” and with an annoyed kind tone she said, “Listen first Kevin. Well, I found myself standing in the front gate of a house, it had a beautifully black colour, very spacious, yet it looked incredibly neat, more like it had been finished recently. I stood in front of the house as long as I could to bask in its simplicity and unfathomable charm. I was not able to take my eyes off the tree which stood right next to the house, it looked like it had been dead well over five years, yet there were flowers which bloomed from it, the colour of the flowers was what drew me closer to the tree itself, although I stood quite far from the tree, the flowers looked like they were ‘Bleeding heart flowers’ with a beautiful purple colour. Enjoying the scenery in front of me distracted me from the man who had been standing in front of the house, so much that I was not able to notice presence until he stood right in front me, looking at me straight in the eyes, and right about when he was about to utter his first words, I woke up.

And with his eyes widely opened Kevin looked at Dawn and said, “You always have creepy dreams, so I’m sure this wasn’t too bad for you right?” and as Dawn looked at Kevin, she sighed silently and placed the palm of her hand on her forehead, to stop herself from doing something unspeakable towards Kevin.

Most moments fill themselves with imagery which we cannot help but stare at intensively, with a joy we unknowingly cannot keep in our hearts, breaking each chain we put on with pain and a drop of our sorrow-less river of tears. And when we finally let go, the pain itself paints itself as a beautiful memory we reminisce on in the future.

After a few days had passed, Kevin, Lisa and Dawn had an occurrence of dreams again, but somehow, they had switched dreams.
