Chapter 8 - PLACE THROUGH TIME

(PLACE THROUGH TIME)

Kevin couldn't understand the whole situation he was faced with, firstly, his friends and himself somehow agreed to enter into a house which they have never known before not to mention the thought that the resident might have had ulterior motives for them, and not to mention, the house looks a lot more creepier than it did on the outside, and lastly they were somehow transported into books where he met the same man he had met in his dreams for two nights now. The room still looked the same of course the only difference there was, was the disappearance of the book he had been exported too. His two friends did not make the matter any easier as well, they had concerned looks on their faces as if they had seen something which was rather sad or maybe tragic, but Kevin knew there was something fishy about the whole matter. The moment Dawn started to question him about what he had witnessed in the book Kevin walked towards his friends in order to see if it was really them or maybe he was seeing hallucinations. Dawn kept speaking to him while he tried to keep focus of their eyes, he said, "Kevin what kind of flower did you see in the book?"

Right after Dawn asked him the question Kevin paused for a moment as to digest the sudden question which was aimed at him. His eyes shifted from being concerned to a more suspicious look. Kevin then asked, "What do you mean by the kind of flower in the book? what exactly did you guys see there?" Unable to answer each other honestly, the three kids stood opposite each other sharing gazes for each other.

When the time came for the three kids to leave the house, they went their separate ways, with Dawn and Lisa leaving together while Kevin left alone and went home. The images of the women the girls met kept popping up in their heads endlessly. While walking home Lisa started to speak to Dawn, she said, "What do you think she meant by, 'The Black flower is born out of evil? and yes Dawn, did you also notice that she did not have a definite face, I mean I don't remember any of her facial features, how should I put this? She didn't have a face." Dawn stopped for a minute and looked at Lisa with an unbothered expression and said, "That's the only thing which scared you Lisa, really? not that we just entered an unknown house and somehow we were teleported to a different place by entering books, not to mention that we can't talk about what we saw with Kevin. But no, what concerns you is the woman we saw in that book who for some reason had no face.

[The hidden message of every fantasy lies in the wishes which make the fantasy reality.]

The dreams the three friends were afraid would return again that night did not return, they all had very peaceful sleep that night, even the dreams they dreamt were beautiful like the whiteness of the snow when morning breaks. But not every beautiful dream brings the happiness you wish for soullessly.
