Chapter One

Mrs. Harrison, a Social Studies teacher gives her lecture about capitalism. The woman, close to her late forties, on the heavier side, strolls back and forth from the front of the room, walking down the aisles of her students sitting on her desk. Mrs. Harrison, while some of the students can smell her coffee breath, despite being 2:30 pm, it was clear she was spotless from any food that would've covered her white pants and green dressy short sleeve shirt. Her short, bouncy, brown curly hair was not successful in attracting the attention of Ally Liddell, a typical seventeen-year-old teenager.

The girl had long, gorgeous blonde hair; the other girls were envious of Ally and the ways she took care of the locks of her hair. She also had brunette streaks in different sections of her hair. Ally closes her ocean-colored blue eyes, and her mind drifts into her own world, getting away from the reality of high school studies of capitalism. 'These lectures are so boring. If I was in my own world, I wouldn't have these useless subjects like Social Studies or English being taught. Instead... I want to be in my world,''

A muffled sound could be heard, but it was not clear. Ally made a model to herself - if it doesn't sound human or she can't hear the voice plain and easy, she will choose to ignore it. Following her model, she chose to ignore it and return back to her mind. 'In my world, no studies, no tests, just...' The muffled sound is getting louder, but it's still not clear.'I want to go my world, back to Wonderland... fighting - '

"Ally!" A loud slam of books placed on the wooden desk startles Ally, forcing her out of her thoughts and back to reality. Ally shot up, looking right and left quickly at her surroundings. Ally only saw disappointment as her classmates are laughing. Mrs. Harrison is now furious, "Miss Liddell! This behavior of yours is unacceptable!" On cue, the bell rings, signaling to the students that school is done for the day. Ally scrambles to get her belongings in the light blue and black splash shoulder bag. Mrs. Harrison, however, was quicker, "Not you, Miss Liddell! You will stay." Ally groans in defeat.

In an oak panel room, Ally sits on a wooden chair, cold to the touch. Her thighs are tensing caused by the chill of the furniture. The floor is dirty white, marble tile, and two windows are covered by window blinds, so the principal can study Ally's face. A little sunflower with pink petals and sunglasses is dancing due to one solar beam reaching through the window. Ally reclines on her chair getting a displeased look from her principal.

"Now, Alice-" "Ally." The teenager interrupts her principal, she never wanted to be called Alice again. No matter how many times the flustered teenager explained to her peers and her teachers that Ally is just a nickname for Alice, not many people were sure that they can believe her as Ally and Alice is only just a letter apart from each other.

"Ally." The principal, Mrs. Harriet, reveals herself from the other side of the room, wearing a matching black jacket and pants, her red button blouse is tucked in her pants, and her feet are in black pumps. Her nails are painted solid black with the exception of her ring fingers on both hands; they are just the normal white french manicure. Her mascara eyes are tensing at Ally, "We've had this meeting before. Can you please explain to me why you're in my office again - for the third time this week?" Mrs. Harriet sits on her chair, legs crossed. Ally shrugs her shoulders, obviously showing she no longer wishes to remain in the room; anywhere but here, is what Ally was thinking. "An 'I don't know.' is not going to help you this time. Any reason that you are not paying attention in class?" Ally sits up, and sighs, trying to release the tension from her lungs.

"The lectures are just so boring. The books don't have any interesting pictures. I just get distracted by my own imagination. The textbooks are just full of words and no fun." Mrs. Harriet narrows her hazel-colored eyes on the troubled girl, mentally preparing to stand her ground with Ally. "But the Social Studies book has pictures. No excuses, Ally." The principal objects, with a low, serious tone.

Ally could sense her temper flare, not being able to fight; she knows she could face a more serious consequence if she did. Instead, she directs with the truth. "In my world, if I declare it, the books would have nothing but pictures. Therefore, it would be much more enjoyable to read." "Miss Liddell, please! Focus on our conversation, if you don't want me to discipline you!" Mrs. Harriet raises her voice, pushing herself up front of her chair, leaning closer to Ally. Getting her attention did happen, but the adult could see Ally's ocean eyes tremble out of shock. She just went back into her own world again, Mrs. Harriet thought to herself. The principal did, however, succeed in bringing Ally back and away from her nonsensical declaration of 'her world'.

After a moment of decompressing, minus a glass of wine in her hand, Mrs. Harriet returns to her seat, pushing out the frustration from her body. She attempts to speak to Ally with a calmer tone, "I don't want to punish you. You're passing your classes with ease, but it's very clear based on your reaction that you're just not interested. I want you to return Monday with a fresh mind." 'And that will do what, exactly?' Ally questioned herself. Yet, it sounded like the thin principal was not going to severely punish the teenager. Ally just gives a small smile to Mrs. Harriet. "That doesn't mean you're off the hook just yet. You'll be staying until 4:30 p.m. today to assist the librarian, Mr. Jackson." Ally's smile disappears and changed to another look of disappointment.

~~~~~~
Ally walks into the library, it's a two-story library, and the smell of oak and books fills Ally's nostrils. The blinds are halfway closed on the windows, giving it the same feeling in Mrs. Harriet's office. To Ally's left is the service desk, where is supposed to be the librarian. "Mr. Jackson?" Ally sets her bags on the desk and walks around the library, calling for him. She's not alone; she knows it.
Ally's immediate instinct forces her to look above her and sees a man with a disgruntled, grotesque face - flat-nosed and pointed ears. He wears faded green color paints with jean material and a white T-Shirt with a brown men's cardigan sweater. Tall like an average man, not as muscular as a bodybuilder. "Alice." Poisoned words oozed out of the monster's lips. Not for anyone else, Ally only gives a heavy scoff at the trespasser, "Oh, great. You know, the last time I've seen morons like you, it close to what - five years ago? I thought we killed you all in Wonderland."
The goon chuckled, amused at her naive attitude from Ally. "You have apparently missed one." Ally crossed her arms, "So, now you're just gonna repopulate? Not gonna happen, now that you're here. This world isn't like Wonderland... in fact, why are you here? No; importantly - how did you even get out? I thought when I left the black and white gates, I placed a seal on the keyhole, placed the eternal spell so no one would get out, but only I can get it?" Ally creates a fighting stance, preparing for a fight with her fisted hands lined up by her waist.
"Why do you think I'm here? The world of your precious Wonderland is about to be attacked once more. The Four Wonderland Guardians have now turned Three. The Red Ruby Queen of Hearts is dead." "You're no friend; why are you telling me this?" Ally ignored the news of the Red Queen of Hearts and her demise. She and Ally never have gotten along for one grand reason accusing Ally of a crime she never committed and was almost successful with her head cut off. Ally swallows physical evidence of her emotions, trying not to give off that she is nervous.
"To prevent you from returning. Wonderland will now be a world full of nightmares and insanity. And that is the dream, which will come true once we destroy you!" He raises his claws and jumps towards Ally, she's running the process through her head leaving her open to an attack.
