Brings Back Memories

Although his external expression was cold and a bit apathetic, @Early Morning Chaos was stunned internally. He hadn't expected the track's coming to a sudden end here, and was speechless.

Watching @Burning Glaciers tumble over to his doom, @Early Morning Chaos finally completed his revival process. His car which had blasted into the beast and got wrecked had repaired itself.

 "…"

Still speechless, @Early Morning Chaos stood before the cliff and fell into deep thoughts. He was figuring a way he would be able to glide down the trap without sustaining too injuries.

He wondered if he should just forget about safety and just drive down, or sit down and devise a simple and easy to implement plan that help him out of the mess he found himself slammed deep into.

"Safety first? Who am I kidding…" @Early Morning Chaos grinned to himself and he balanced himself in his completely repaired car. He glanced to the side and smiled at the array of abilities currently installed in his vehicle - all suicidal to implement.

"I've never considered safety in a race as far as I can remember…"

A sharp gleam flashed past his eyes as he stepped on accelerate, his action caused his car to jerk forward before driving off the track and down the abyss. He didn't even bother to check if his vehicle was repaired properly or not, and he really didn't care.

He simply drew in a cold breath as his car was fired down the abyss, his brows furrowing slightly. Being a suicide racer, @Early Morning Chaos was a bit excited at his descent, although he did not show it.

The wild thrill he derived from numerous near death experiences was something he grew to enjoy and even crave for! Being close to death seemed to be one of the many things that made him feel ecstasy and delight.

Just as he was tumbling down the abyss, an angular chunk of metal suddenly blasted into his TK mirror, shattering the glass without delay. From the force the object had used in colliding with the TK mirror, our @Early Morning Chaos could deduce that the metal was being fired up by a powerful force!

"The fck?" @Early Morning Chaos spat out in shock as he saw numerous chunks of metal being hurled up at him from below! Given the power of the first, he was sure that the others wouldn't be any weaker.

"Damn it! What cursed force is firing these things at me? Is this the hidden feature of the trap?" @Early Morning Chaos cried as another chunk of metal flew over and bashed into the bonnet of his vehicle. The sound of metal blasting into metal rang out in his ears.

He glanced down at the barrage of metal chunks and frowned deeply, if each of any of them were to crash into him, the consequences would most definitely be grueling. He needed to find a way to evade roughly around 60 - 70% of them without getting any vital points of the car like the engine or tires ruined.

"The attack on the bonnet was a mere wake up call, one or two more blasts on the same spot would be very bad for me…" @Early Morning Chaos thought to himself, his eyes gleaming strangely, "And where in the name of god are these things coming from?"

——

 "Fifty Nine, Sixty!"

"That's like the sixtieth hideout we've busted in the past 2 hours…"

"That undying god isn't joking with his dumb plan to get the power of reincarnation! To think he had such a great gathering waiting for Jacob's return."

Rylex and Syx hovered over a metal platform in some building which they had attacked earlier. One could see torn apart bodies lying around with some having terrified or blank expressions on their faces and others completely decapitated.

Blood had splattered across the wall with human gut scattered all over the ground with some partially out of the torn open abdomen of some dead bodies. Other of the human entrails had been dragged out of their bodies and thrown carelessly on the ground.

The sight was gory and horrifying to say the least, the thick stench of blood was more than enough to for any normal human to gag on. Despite this, the two were just hovering over the mess, their breathing fine and calm with no problems.

In the beginning, Syx had been stunned by Rylex's extreme methods of killing mere mortals and it felt very wrong to her. She had believed that even though the humans had believed in the death god and were just carrying out his plans, it was not enough reason for Rylex to go beast mode on them.

But with contact with a few more of these humanoid creatures, she lost every strand of reason and joined Rylex in the slaughter. The more hideouts she saw Rylex uncover, the more she knew, and the more vicious her attacks became.

This seemed to be the final hideout closest to Jack's home, and it housed a few revolting practices!

When they had busted this place, Syx had caught sight of a few masked creatures doing something disgusting to a young human girl. At first glance, she was able to tell that the young girl was being cut open and eaten alive by the masked creatures.

The scene made Syx lose every ounce of reason, and she had rampaged throughout the building alone. Her fury resulted to this mess and the discovery of a few half-eaten human adults and children scattered all over the building at dark and hidden corners.

Although humans were nothing more than livestock before gods, the sight of them brutalizing each other in this manner triggers the beast in a few gods. The closer the god was to humanity, the stronger the urge.

The urge was an insatiable desire to kill each and every one of the perpetuators, and that would be in the most gruesome way physically possible.

"Yes, the followers of the death god truly believe that eating their kind alive would serve as a sacrifice to the undying moron. They would be granted a few abilities by him, and would be sent into battle."

Rylex smiled as she began to explain loud enough for Syx to hear her voice. After speaking, she raised her hand and waved it to the side, causing a cold wind to blow, following the instantaneous disintegration of all the bodies.

"So, they go around kidnapping men, women and children for their sick acts?" Syx squeezed her hands, her action made her claws dig into her flesh as blood ran down her hand and dripped down to the floor.

"Yeah. Brings back memories right?" Rylex smiled as she turned around and floated out the burst open door with her hands behind her back, "Memories of days when the gods were united against one mortal, and the world's were dyed in blood gold."

"Yes. It does." Syx gritted her teeth, seemingly recalling something agonizing, "It brings back many memories…"
