chapter one Beginning

"Glory be to God for the newly born babies. I pray they will go till they are toothless" said Mrs okedogun,the family neighbor. "Thank you" answered Mrs owoloju, the newly born babies' mother. It was Monday,the weather was perfect for fun when the lord gave two set of babies to the family of Mr and Mrs Owoloju. For the twins that came into the family that year,Joy overflowed in the family and the community at large.So,Mr Owoloju has planned to celebrate their naming ceremony as a large party. After, eight days, the naming ceremony was celebrated as planned.The two babies were named Tola "who happens to be a girl" and Kola "who is a boy". Those two babies grows more beautiful and handsome everyday in such a way that people wants to carry them always.They were loved by every member of the community. Days passed on and years passed by. Tola and Kola grew more beautiful and handsome.They were enrolled into Lajide primary school to start their education. Tola was a beautiful,sharp and brilliant girl while Kola was an handsome and brilliant boy.These attributes gain people's attraction toward them. They both grew with strong affection for each other. When they were in primary two.Kola was made the class captain while Tola was made the assistance because of their performance academically.At the end of each term,Kola always come out with 1st position and Tola with 2nd position. One fateful Saturday morning,when they were both in primary six,1st term. They got a call from their uncle in abroad through their mother's phone. "Hello" said their uncle "Hello sir" answered the twins.

w are you" said their uncle "We are fine sir" answered,the twins. After some minutes conversation,their uncle decided to ask what they wish to become later in the future.Tola answered "A lawyer" while Kola answered"A nurse". Their uncle advice them on how to study hard for them to accomplish their mission and fulfill their dreams.To conclude his advice,he promised them that he would come to take them abroad,if they can be the best student after secondary School so as to further their education in abroad. On hearing this, they were flabbergasted although excited and promise to heed to advice. Tola and Kola tried their best as they could in all aspects both academically and socially. Their graduation out of primary school was awesome.At the graduation party,as Tola was singing, kola was the drummer.At the end of the party,they both won many prizes and were given scholarship by the school authorities to study in the secondary school of their choice. They really made their parents proud .

Chapter Two

Junior class.

The holiday was over and they were both admitted into Intense secondary School as j.s.s one student. On the first day of resumption,other students were intimidated but for Kola and Tola, reverse is the case.Both students and Teachers loves their boldness and that makes them popular in the school with the name T.k Tola and Kola became the topic of the school because of their well trained attitude, humbleness and intelligency.Kola was made the class captain and Tola, the class monitress. One glowing afternoon, toward the end of the session.Those twins received a letter from their principal that they would be going for spelling B competition.Although, they were shocked but that doesn't stop them from preparing. They both prepared well for the competition and went for it. When the result was announced,they came out with 2nd position. On getting to school with their result,they were encouraged by the principal and other teachers.some students also came to congratulate them,one of those students is a gnomic guy in jss 3 whose name is suyi. At the end of the session,they got promoted to jss2. As usual,they both continue to maintain their grades and went for many competition for junior class which they came out in flying colors. When T.K were in jss 3,Intense secondary school has recorded 10 different awards they had won for the school. Those twins performance in outside competition makes the school to be rewarded as the best secondary school in OMIGUN LOCAL GOVERNMENT. They brought happiness to the teachers, students and their parents with other parents in the community. Months passed on and it was already getting close to junior waec exam for T.K "Laughs..." Some group of girls. "Wait !!! " Said Tola "Why are you girls laughing" Tola asked Is it not funny? Asked one of those girls "When did we started jss 1 here and we are planning to enter sss1 now"said another girl. "Huhm! It really looks funny but we girls have to understand that we grow younger anymore,we would be getting more mature and many thoughts occupying our minds.so,we have to focus more on our studies and don't let maturity let our grades down" Tola advices those girls The day for the examination has came and gone, the examination has been done and dusted. They were happy going to higher classes.

chapter three

Senior year

The resumption date is here and they resumed back to school as sss 1 student.In the normal school setting, there is no division into different department for ss1 student .The division takes place in ss1 3rd term. "I am not running after my beauty neither nor my beauty is pushing me. I focus on my future because I need to fulfill my dream. I am not impressed by your cute smiling face.so ,please and kindly free me". Said by Tola to a cute gnomic guy who happens to be the senior boy of his set while Tola in Ss1 when he accosted her and trying to ask her out. "Oh sorry. It wasn't intentional" answered,the senior boy and departed. "Can't you see how naughty this guy is. He wants to spoil my dream for me, nonsense. Hiss..." Tola soliloquizing. "Are mine old enough for relationship? No,my parents will skin me alive if they hear such thing" Tola envisaged. At home,that fateful evening.Tola and Kola were in the mood of gossip. "Can you imagine,that your so-called senior boy was asking me out today" Tola gisting kola. "Ehen..." Kola was flabbergasted, The what is now your responses" "Oh!!, You should trust your sister nah, I yelled at him immediately and he quited" Tola answered. "Wow,that is great idea" kola idolised her. "See, did you remember that truant senior in ss2 " kola said. "You mean that skiver guy" Tola Joked, "Yes,what happened to him" "You won't believe that, the nonentity was caught at the back of the toilet smoking this afternoon" kola elucidated. "Haaa..." Tola was thinking about the scenario. T.k continued with their conversation..... Then there was a horn at the gate which brought an end to their conversation. "That should be Dad and mum " Tola predicted "Yes, I think so" kola replied. They both went to the gate to open the gate and welcome their parents. It was ss1 third term,the term for division to different department.Tola was screened into Art department to pursue her dream and plan while Kola was screened to science department to also pursue his career.That was when there was a little gap between Tola and Kola because of their different department. They only have breaks to spend together and also at home as a family but the affection for each other never quit as one blood. As usual, they have been doing well in their different department.Their distinctive grades attracted respects from both Teachers and fellow students.They had been known to be students with value and determination. "Can't you see Kola,who is well mannered,apart from his academic performance,he had been a good ambassador of the community.why can't you imitate him? Statement made by many parents in the community. Their parents never regret giving birth to twins because they make life easier for their parents. Six months to there joint examination for ss2 students.Tola and kola were enrolled into a tutorial for better performance. The examination date has came and gone,they did perfectly well in all subjects of their department. Now preparing for ss3.

Chapter four

Chosen prefects

Ss 3 class is a class with pride, pompous and claiming seniority. Here is Tola and Kola preparing to resume back to school as ss3 students. T.k were in the sitting room two days to the resumption date with their parents having a word of advice for them. "Now ,you have become a senior in your school.Don't because of seniority and lose your focus. Don't just beat junior anyhow. Don't be rude to your teachers because of your class or level." Mr owoloju advices his children. "And don't forget to remain the good children you have use to be and a good ambassador of the community" Mrs owoloju added. " Okay Dad and mum, we promise to maintain the standard, thanks" T.K echoed. "I trust you, children" mr owoloju answered. After two weeks of resumption, election was announced to be conducted for their new prefects in the school. After a week of campaign,the election was conducted and the result was said to be announced the following morning. "Who did you think will win the election" Tola asked Kola. "No one knows,this is called politics. The candidate in the mind of the election committees will eventually win,either he or she was voted for or not" kola answered. "Hummm....." Tola signed "That is true" The following morning was filled with cool weather and a lovely morning sunshine. The day has arrived in which the winner would be announced. Every students was eager to know their new elected prefects. Exactly 7:30am, the school compound was filled with students, both serious and truant ones. Mr olanbo,the school principal appeared on the assembly ground for the announcement. Every student was excited. The announcement was made and Kola was made the senior boy while Tola, the senior girl. At the mention of their names,other students shouted in joy and not surprised because it was their expectation. All prefects started work immediately.T.K's regime was wonderful and peaceful for all students and the school at large. The waec examination is fast approaching.All ss3 students of Intense secondary School were preparing for the examination. "Haahaa....." T and k both laughed. " So,we will soon be an undergraduate after some months now" said kola "Abi oo, we are now big boy and girl " answered Tola. They both laughed again while they zip their drinks in front of them. One fateful Saturday morning,Mr owoloju was in the sitting room with his children watching television with drinks on the table. " My children,hope you are preparing for your external examination? Did you know that this examination is different from your school exams? Mr orowa,your mathematics teacher doesn't know anything about the mathematics questions, hope you know?Mr owoloju talking to t.k. " Haaa... Dad, we are seriously preparing" Tola answered. "Trust us dad" kola also answered. "Hummmm...., I trust both of you. I am just telling you to keep your standard and not to be full of yourself,so that you won't fuck up" mr owoloju concluded. They all laughed.

Chapter five.

The Trip

After their examination and graduation out of secondary School with good results, different tiltes and different prizes including scholarship to the university of their choice. Their father,Mr owoloju promised T.K that they would be spending their Holiday in Abuja with their uncle and also attend tutorial for jamb examination at Abuja . "Haa, dad!! That is real excursion ooo" kola said jokingly. " Yes, my son " " My teacher also taught us that travelling is part of education. So, I Will be more enlightened in this trip" Tola said "Yes, Daughter" Two weeks after their graduation.Tola and kola were in the car with their parents in the front seat going to drop T&k at the garage for the journey to Abuja. "Tola and Kola, you have to be of good behavior at Abuja" Mr owoloju said. "And remember, the child of whom you are" Mrs owoloju added. They arrived at the garage and were ready to take off. " Safe journey" Mrs owoloju said "Good bye mum and dad" "Missing you already" said Mr owoloju "Same here sir,we will talk on phone" T.k answered. On their way to Abuja. They were excited although surprised on the beautiful mansion they saw along the way. "Wow! See those beautiful building" said kola "Indeed, beautiful. I wish this is one of our house" Tola answered. "I wish I own some buildings like this someday" kola thought looking carried away. (Phone ringing), kola picked the call. It was their uncle at Abuja . "Hello...." "Hello sir" "Where are you now" uncle asked "We don't know sir" kola answered. "Okay dear. Anyway, when you get to in Abuja,tell the driver to drop you at Jabi motor park. I will come and pick you up from there " uncle said "Okay sir. Thank you " kola answered and ended the call. Tola and kola were being Carried away by the tall buildings, imagining how they were built that Kola had forgot to tell the driver where they are going to stop. "When are we going to stop and where are we stopping, it's getting too longer" Tola said eagerly. "OH!!!! " Kola exclaimed. "Sir,we will be dropping at Jebi motor park" kola told the driver. "Where is Jebi motor park or did you mean Jabi motor park ? The driver asked. "Oh!! Yes sir,Jabi motor park " kola answered. "We have passed there 15minutes ago . Why are you just telling me? Don't you know where you are going to? Are you kids?" The driver keep shouting angrily. "We are sorry sir, our mind wasn't there" Toal and kola both answered. "See,Mr man I can't go back there again,let me drop you here and take bike to Jabi motor park . it's just #200 each" said the driver. " Okay s.....ir" Tola answered as they alighted from the bus . " Yeee, at last we got lost" said kola. "ThankGod,there is money with us ,let take bike there" Tola suggested "Yes, you are right" kola agreed. They both took bike to Jabi motor park and gave their uncle a call.so their uncle came to picked them home.

Chapter six

The admission

It was evening of the second day they arrived at Abuja.Tola and kola decided to share their trip experience down to Abuja with their cousins, Kunle and Tope. After they narrated the whole funny experience,they all laughed at the dinning table. After two months fun, they enrolled into one of the best jamb tutorial centre at Abuja. They enjoy the tutorial and met new Friends. They sat for the examination before returning back home to their parents.The result was released a week after the commencement of the exam. They performed excellently as expected.Kola got 309 and Tola got 298. They were very happy and also impress their parents the more. Waiting for the time for admission that year. They still enjoy reading although they have fun but their book is there number one priority. "Can't wait to be a campus girl" said Tola "Same here oo , campus boy too" answered kola. "See,those small babies we gave birth to just like yesterday are now planning to go to campus" Mr owoloju said jokingly. "Huhu ... Awaiting campus girl and boy " Mrs owoloju replied jokingly. "Don't tell me you are both jealous" Tola said. "Not at all, we are just happy" Mr owoloju answered. Time to write post utme at obafemi Awolowo University,ile-ife is around the corner.Tola and kola got prepared and went for the examination. To God be the glory,kola was admitted to study nursing while Tola to study law. They were both Happy including their parents . "Finally,we made it at last" kola said "Yes oo,our dreams has come to pass " Tola answered joyfully. Their father gave them a heavy hug as they arrived home to announced that they have been admitted into obafemi Awolowo University, ile-ife. "Eheeeee, glory be to God ooo" Their mother who overheard them jumped out joyfully to congratulate her children. In the evening, Mama twins actually cooked T&K favourite Food for them that looks more delicious than ever. At the dinning table "So, when are you resuming campus girl? " Mr owoloju asked "It is 4th of next month sir". Tola answered. As the eating continues,Mr owoloju and his wife adviced the children because they are still young to be left alone without guidance. They gave T&K rules and regulations to follow while on campus which Tola and kola promised to abide by the rules and never to spoil their good behavior. They also warned them on peer groups more often than other rules as the day approaches.

Chapter seven

Tola: life on campus

They both resumed school as a fresher and started another journey of life. Tola was opportuned to be given hostel but unfortunately for her,she found herself among worldly ladies in the same room. A room titled "Don't be different " at the entrance. Although,Tola wasn't comfortable with those girls at first and also convinced about the title written at the entrance. "That yellow girl with tribal mark seems to be gentle and serious.let me move closer to her" Tola thought. " Hi, new comer. This is your room feel at home dear" one of those girls named Ramidat answered. "Okay thanks" Tola replied. In the afternoon after one week of resumption.Tola has gone for lecture while the other three girls whose names are Ramidat p.k.a "Boss lady" , seun p.k.a "sexy G" and Ronke whose p.k.a is "Rokky" were discussing about Tola in the room. "This girl is just gentle and seems responsible" Boss lady said. "What did you expect, can't you see she is mummy G.O " said Rokky. "We can't leave her like this,we have to change her . can't you see her sexy shape " sexy G said. " At least,if she can join us, we will change our name to four square ladies" Boss lady said. "Wow! That is great idea " said Rokky "We see what we can do about it" sexy G concluded. In the evening,when Tola was changing her cloth to put on another dress after the class stress. The other girls were preparing for their night club. Then,Rokky breaks the silence. " Hey,babe ,this your cloth is not fitted" Rokky said to Tola "Me? You mean my cloth What actually happened" Tola answered. "Can't you see that the cloth you put on doesn't bring out your figure sharp" sexy G added "And if you don't mind,you can go with us tonight just for fun" boss lady said. Different thought of how her mother would reply if she hear such thing keep ringing in her ear. "See girls, thanks very much for your observation and care .As you can see ,I'm okay with my dressing and for the night club. Did I look like someone who loves clubbing? Are mine given this kind of body sharp to advertise myself as cheap girls do?" "What does that mean" Rokky said angrily "See,to cut the long story short. I wasn't interested! I am not interested! And I will never be interested in your gang . please,save me from this stress. Thanks" Tola said as she resumed dressing up. They were shocked and silent till Dawn. First semester has gone and Tola result was good as usual. She tried all her possible best to be different from those roommates of hers before she changed her room number in 200level and still find herself among the unserious type but Tola has been a girl with determination and promise herself to be different.

Chapter eight

Kola: life on campus

Kola on the other hand was also given hostel to stay. One afternoon,kola was passing by some group of boys discussing in pigin. "Omo! See that guy, he go fit for this gang oo. As you all know say three of us go graduate this year. Make we initiate some freshers ooo" string said, who happens to be the group leader . "Bravo, brilliant idea boss man" oju-eje answered. They all agreed and set up Tunde whose p.k.a is " no mercy" for kola. Tunde appears before kola that evening as a responsible person which Deceived kola. "Good evening sir" Tunde greeted "Same here sir" kola answered After there introduction along the way,they continue to talk for some minutes and that was how they became friends. After one week of friendship. Tunde planned to initiate kola. So, Tunde plead with kola to follow him to one of his friends house outside the campus and kola agreed. On getting there,kola was surprised to see the house those boys were living.on entering the sitting room,he saw those boys with laptop each and different kinds of alcohol on the table supported with cigarettes. After introduction,Kola was offered a cigarette and a bottle of alcohol which he refused. "Omo! See this guy oo, shey you be kid ni" oneof those guys said. "See his dressing too,where is your crazy Jean. Did you informed him that he is going for a crusade, haha". Said another guy "Abi oo,wetin dey do this one abi you be pastor pikin" string said "See, kola. This is just a thing . It doesn't affect you. It just for fun. Can't you see us,we have be on this for some years and still none of us has died. Just take and test from this " Tunde convinced kola. Although,kola was not willing but for the sake of friendship he decided to test a little from the alcohol and just a stick of cigarette as a was promising himself that he would not try it again but it was just a mere promise. After a month, kola became one of them and also an expert. He doesn't have time for lectures anymore . He always dodge Tola because of his crazy Jean and dread hair but always talk on phone with his twin sister. "Kola,are you not going to school today.Hope you don't forget we have test by 11:00am " kola's coursemate said. "Omo go your class, the lecturer just dey joke. He no fee do ham" kola answered. Kola's laziness goes on like that everyday.

Chapter 9

The tragedy

Kola was influenced by bad boys from no where which corrupted his good behavior and affect him academically. At the final year in school. A list of set of students was posted who were to be rusticated from school in which kola's name was in number 2. It was really painful for Kola . He returned home that day and never found those boys again.He was left alone. It was a real heartbreaking when the news was announced to Mr and Mrs owoloju by Tola. They were really disappointed in him. He returned back to the community as a useless drunkard walking round the street always while Tola made her parents proud. She graduated from the school and secured a job. She got married and live happily with her family. Kola regrets his actions and keep blaming himself. THE END.
