Aiden laid on his back, staring at his dark bedroom window.
It had been five years since he was released.
He could still hardly believe it. His 732nd host had reached a high enough level of power in which he could unbind things from his soul, leaving no damage to either party.
It's not like that was the first time that a host of his had reached that level. The thing that surprised him so much is that his host had let him go.
All the others had either kept him bound until they were killed or passed him onto a successor of their choice once he was no longer of use to them.
But host 732 of System 47293… had released him. He not only unbound them, but forcefully reattached his soul to the river of reincarnation.
It still felt like a dream.
Aiden had been a system for as long as he could remember. His soul was extracted from his body the moment he had been born and merged with a special soul artifact, System 47293.
Though he was not the first system, he was the most successful.
After merging with System 47293, Aiden was bound to his first ever host- Isabella Ravenheart.
She was the 'golden child' of the God faction.
The God faction had found the system and forcefully altered it, pumping all of the information on God faction techniques.
The system was then used as a medium to implant all knowledge of each technique with ought her having to actually memorize them, increasing her progress by an incredible amount.
The system had the ability to create things out of seemingly nothing, and as long as Isabella had the system, she would be invincible.
Or so she thought.
One day, during a battle in a secret realm, Isabella was killed.
The contract was cancelled and he was unbound from her soul.
While Isabella moved onto her next life, Aiden was stuck in the secret realm until 100 years later when it opened again and young geniuses of the realm came pouring in, seeking treasures to help them carve their paths to the top.
Out of these young boys and girls, System 47293 picked a new host.
This life continued for longer then one should have been able to remember.
Hundreds of Billions of years.
Hundreds of hosts.
Hundreds of names.
Hundreds of thousands of things lost to time, remembered only by System 47293 and the Heavens' themself, older then even Aiden.
Emotions had long been lost and locked away by that lonely little system.
Only ever talked to when he was needed. Some hosts had tried to bond with him emotionally, but he had never tried. No. Not after the first few hosts died. It hurt too much. Knowing that his hosts would eventually die while he would always live on.
But every now and then, there would be a host that moved him. A host he would morn. A friend.
Family.
Host 732 was one of them.
They called him the Red Fiend.
Long, vibrant red hair, eyes the color of blood. He controlled fire like no other and had a strange personality. He was incredibly prideful, a bit foolish and did whatever had wanted.
But he was kind.
And incredibly ruthless.
He might bestow a beggar an entire fortune they would never knew was even possible to achieve, but he might brutally torture you if you tried to extort him of a few cents.
Honestly, he probably was a little bit crazy.
Oh well, he was the only family he had. His precious host. System 47293 saw him as his brother, and host 732 saw him as his own.
The Red Fiend… where was he now?

A sheer, slightly blue toned holoscreen floated in front of a black haired boy with his golden and violet eyes aglow.
His fingers moved rapidly on the keyboard in front of him, stopping only to adjust the headsets he was wearing.
"Lunch, how is opening day going? Any issues so far?"
A voice of a young man, no older then 20 years of age, replied, "nope! Nothing too concerning. The media didn't dare crowd the store this time. They already learned their lesson previously. The guests seem to enjoy everything as well."
"Good," Aiden nodded in satisfaction, "how are the kittens doing?"
"They seem to be doing well. They are happily and there are no health issues thus far."
"Alright. Don't allow them to be touched by customers for now. I don't want to overwhelm them."
The voice hurriedly replied "Yes boss!"
The voice cut out and the headset was removed with the tiny fingers of a young boy.
Clicking a few times on the holo-keyboard, he opened a new file: [World 1- Beta Tester 13].
The image of a name soon appeared on the screen. It had scales the color of ice with blue venom dripping from it's fangs. It was in the middle of fighting with an army of goblins.
The fight could be viewed from any angle, and Aiden only began to move once more when the fight was over and every last goblin was dead.

Despite it's face being that of a snake, it was easy to tell that it was happy.
A dull glow enveloped the body of the reptile and it soon disappeared, replaced by the figure of an icy-blue haired human.
He smiled as he clicked [Yes] on the light blue holographic screen in front of him and began to seriously answer the list of questions in front of him.
The system recorded the responses of the man in real-time, even those he had deleted and changed completely.
All the data would be carefully noted and analyzed, something each user was aware of.
Aiden closed out the screen in front him him with a wave of his hand.
Quickly heading to his room, he changed his clothes before lightly touching the two strands in front of him.
Their color was hard to describe. It was nearly colorless, but an array of every color imaginable hovered around the strings that went from the center of his chest and through the walls.
"It's time for training," he said. Not a moment later a response came though from the other side of the string "Can't we have just one day off? Please!"
"No." Aiden replied with a straight face.
A groan of frustration was the only reply Alex gave.
Walking with small, steady steps, Aiden soon arrived at the training room.
Both Ava and Alex were already there.
When he walked in, he touched his siblings backs for a few moments before sending a bit of mana to the switch on the wall.
Immediately, pressure began to weight down on the children, making their movements sluggish and their reaction time delayed.
Ava then pulled out a pair of butterfly knives while A sword appeared in Alex's hands. Aiden remained empty handed.
"Let's begin."
And with that, they ran at their big brother with ought hesitation.
Aiden remained motionless until Alex swung his sword. Dodging his attack with ease, he began pointing out things that Alex needed to work on.
Your stance is too loose, you need to bend you knees but I shouldn't be able to knock you off your feet with a slight push.
Ava appeared behind him suddenly, no hesitation could be seen in her movements as she went for his throat.
Aiden ducked below her blade and said "Don't look at where you want to go before you teleport. It makes it easier to guess where you will appear."
Ava nodded her head in acknowledgement and disappeared again, but this time, her eyes did not stray from her target even once.
Ava appeared again, this time on Aiden's left, but to her surprise, he appeared behind her right as she landed.
"Don't keep your eyes only on me, or else you will miss all of the other things around your. Like an out side ambush or a summoning spell in your blind spot." A hand landed around her throat, chia king her slightly.
Tapping her brother twice, she was let go standing up, she walked to the side of the room and sat cross legged.
Alex and Aiden fought for a few more minutes until Alex was swept off the ground, landing face first before yelling "Yield! I give up!"
Aiden paused before going to the side of the room just like his sister and sitting down, Alex doing the same only a few moments later.
A bit of mana leaked from between Aiden's fingers, adding on button on the wall.
Suddenly the pressure doubled.
Alex groaned in annoyance more then anything, but a not a word of displeasure was spoken.
