"I can't wait to get my paws on those Silver Wolf Beastmen. If mother doesn't demolish then herself!" Said Artemis' First White Wolf Prince Christopher. "Are you kidding? Mother will have gotten through the majority of them alone just for smiling at her by the time we finally found her!" Said Second White Wolf Prince Knox. "Papa told me that mother must be hurt pretty badly and needed some time to heal before she takes revenge and comes home." Princess Winter said sadly "Don't worry. We'll be reunited soon. Our Queen could never stay away from her family . We are everything to her!" Third Wolf Prince Walker said, patting Princess Winter on her back. The cubs weren't really cubs anymore and they weren't children in their human form anymore either, they were young adults now and Artemis could be mistaken for one of her kids if she were to hang out among them. Both Prince Christopher and Prince Walker have calmed down a lot and will no longer try to compete with each other over everything. Prince Knox and Prince Brayden are usually less talkative and more brawny. Their demeanor since growing taller and muscular in a short span of time gives off "ask questions later" like their mother Artemis. Princess Winter turned into an exact copy of her mother. When Little Wen brought Princess Winter home to Danny he took one look at his daughter and sent her right back inside. "Stay inside until your Queen mother comes back!" Danny ordered. Little Wen found it funny watching Danny go insane but she still tried her best to calm him down. He was just gonna have to face the fact that his little girl will have to grow into a woman someday. Danny warned Little Wen that Queen Artemis wasn't going to be any happier either. Little Wen is lucky she has four older Wolf brothers and older brother Ezekiel as well or else she wouldn't have been able to come out and play today. They all were laying around each other in a patch of grass under the sun. Ezekiel was with them stretched out around them in his Snake Beastman form. He was also like Danny and Bowen, exhausted from being overprotective but as long as his siblings remained safe he really didn't mind. While Danny had his hands full with his adult children and the White Wolf Kingdom, Bowen was still missing and Thomas had his hands full with his Ape cubs running around in human form. Thomas hoped Artemis wouldn't be too heartbroken about not seeing the Ape cubs first shapeshift. Danny frequently reminds Thomas that the Wolf Princes were rowdy like that as well and they grew out of it eventually, he just needs to be patient. Danny also had to remind Thomas that there is no preparation for the Queen's wrath but she is a little more understanding than most.
For days now Bowen has spent most of his time in his Eagle form searching from the skies for Artemis and every day that she stays missing Bowen goes more and more crazy. He was starting to feel hopeless that he would ever see her again. Bowen was currently sitting perched high up in a tree looking out over the blue sky. He was somewhere close to the Lion Kingdom now and he had made a small temporary nest close by so that he could stand watch in hopes of catching any Silver Wolf Beastman going by. Anybody else would have soon realized that all of this effort is pointless and would have completely gone feral but the faint mating bond that Bowen still felt was enough to convince him not to give up. "My Queen. Help me find you!" Bowen pleaded out loud. "I can't go on without you!" He continued to himself only. As Bowen sat in the tree everything he's supposed to be feeling hit him all at once. The tiredness, the sleepiness, the hunger, the pain of missing his mate. Bowen passed out and fell over out of the tree landing on the ground with a hard thud. There was no sound or no movement as he lay there unconscious.
"Look Mother. Just like you said he passed out!" Charity said, pointing at Bowen as he lay there. "We have been following him long enough for my predictions to be right about him. He is on a mission and nothing else is more important than completing it" Sarah said. The mother and daughter duo jumped down from their hidden tree and circled around Bowen as if he were food. "He's so handsome!" Charity chimed gazing at Bowen. "You two will make me some beautiful strong grandchildren" Sarah said nodding to Charity. Sarah was a Raven who has been a single mother to Charity for a while now since her mate was eaten by Tigers. Raven's were a small community of Beastmen who mainly kept to themselves. Sarah and her mate only lasted for a few days before he was killed and eaten so she took her child and started to run back home. Sarah never made it back to her people, Instead she remained on the road as she raised her daughter on her own. Now that her daughter is mature enough Sarah plans to find Charity the perfect mate who will take care of her the right way. She wants Charity's mate to come from a strong Bird Kingdom even if he isn't a raven. Sarah was ecstatic when she spotted the White Eagle flying all sad and alone. "We have to be quick and precise Charity" Sarah said digging through her pouch for her sleeping powder. "Aha!" She said holding out a fur pouch. She opened it slightly and poured some of the powder into her hand then she gently blew it into Bowen's face. Bowen sniffed and sneezed and unexpectedly he sat up on the ground. "Ah'Xhi. Is that you?" Bowen asked, looking around. "He's supposed to be sleeping…" Charity said, looking at her mother. "I think I may have pulled out the wrong powder" Sarah said looking at the pouch in her hand. "Oh well. This works out anyways" Sarah said, pouring some more powder into her hand. While Charity still had her head turnt facing her mother, Sarah took advantage and blew the powder into her face as well. After sneezing a few times she looked back up at her mother and then over at Bowen. "Mate" she said out loud as her eyes glazed over.
Artemis in the Human World
"Oww!" Artemis said, gasping and clutching at her chest. "My Queen?" Sam rushed forward to see what was wrong. "I really need to get back home. Something is happening!" Artemis said with teary eyes. "We have to get you to safety first. We have to find you somebody who can safely get you back to the human world with your Eagle cubs." Sam said to her. "I know Samuel." Artemis said, sighing. Artemis felt another pinching feeling in her chest and looked at the door. "He's coming back," she said dreadfully. Sam tensed up and stood up at her side as she sat in the chair at the table. In the next second Clay appeared inside the cabin standing a few feet away. "Something's different." Clay said before sniffing around. He could smell his ates scent and he smelt Sam's as well. This time Sam reeked of Wolf instead of humans. "Have you done anything you shouldn't have?" Clay asked suspiciously. Naturally Sam and Artemis were confused because actually he didn't do anything wrong. "I have done as you told me. She has been protected and nurtured back to good health" Sam said gesturing towards the sitting Artemis. Clay snapped his head back to Sam. He finally figured out what was different. The frail, thin and hungry human was now a tall and muscular man who stood up straight and had no problem looking him in his face. Sitting beside him was this bright, strong and beautiful female. She reminded Clay of the women here in the human world and not the weak and lazy females in the Beastworld. "You!" Clay said in disbelief. "What happened to you?" Clay asked, stepping towards her. "I told you that you should have asked around about her before you decided to take her away." Sam said boldly. "I wasn't talking to you!" Clay snapped at Sam. "But he was speaking for me." Artemis said. Clay snapped out of his fury and looked back down at Artemis. "It doesn't matter who you were anymore. You're mine now. Little Queen!" Clay said to Artemis. "You're no longer needed here, mutt. Leave me to my mate!" Clay demanded. Artemis sucked her teeth. "You aren't moving quick enough!" Clay growled. "I'm not moving at all unless my Queen tells me so!" Sam declared standing his ground in his spot next to Artemis. "You're Queen?" Clay asked, turning to look at Sam.
Clay leaped forward and crashed into Sam, sending them both flying through the wall and out of the water cabin. "Samuel!" Artemis shouted, jumping up from her seat. "Stay back!" Sam said as he struggled with Clay. Artemis of course didn't listen. She brandished her staph and stood up behind Clay and Sam as they were rolling around on the ground. "I don't like my people to fight my battles for me. I am very capable of handling him on my own. Now that I am back to my old self I should have no problems rejecting him" Artemis said standing there. Her Goddess-like appearance distracted Clay and gave Sam the upper hand. Sam opened his mouth wide and bit deep down into Clay's arm. Clay looked at his arm that was no longer there and he began screaming like a child. Artemis stomped her staph onto the ground giving off a loud and powerful thud. "Clay, leader of the Silver Wolf Beastman! Artemis said loudly. "I REJECT you!" Artemis said, stomping her staph again. This time Clay clutched his chest screaming. "No!" He yelled watching the mark on Artemis' ankle disappear. Clay began crawling towards Artemis' feet. "You can't reject me! I claimed you as mine!" Clay struggled. "I am a Queen. You can't claim me" Artemis said, swiping his hands away with her staph. Sam stood up tall hovering over Clay. "My Queen." Sam said putting his foot on Clay's ankle where his matching mark to Artemis' used to be. Artemis didn't hesitate and she didn't need to repeat herself. She nodded slightly and Sam used all of his newfound strength to completely crush Clay's ankle. It was satisfying for both Sam and Artemis to see Clay disabled squirming at their feet. "You have nowhere to go. How are you going to reject me! I led these people!" Clay yelled out. "I don't care where I go. As long as it gets me away from you!" Artemis said to him. "I have somewhere I could take you for now, my Queen" Sam told her. Artemis nodded. "Before we head out I want to pack some clothes and food " Sam announced. Sam gathered Artemis' furs and filled a pouch with bread and smoked meat. "Look at you happy to be her slave!" Clay taunted. "Her mates won't accept you either!" Clay continued taunting. "My mates would put him up on a pedestal for taking care of me so well. But once again. It's not really up to them. I am Queen Artemis. Queen of the White Wolf Kingdom. Last Princess of the Back Wolf Kingdom. I make my own decisions!" Artemis said to him.
Artemis felt relieved to finally show him what she was capable of. There were times he would stand over her laughing at her broken leg and wrist. He would take pleasure in causing her more pain and belittling her. He would mock her calling her 'the little Queen' or 'would be Queen'. He wanted to convince her that she was stuck with him now and her mates would never find her. "I'm going to make my way back home for sure. My family is waiting for me" Artemis said. She let out a deep breath and hugged herself as tight as she could. Sam draped her fur cloak over her shoulders. "I don't want you to get cold while we're traveling, my Queen," he said to her. "Thank you Samuel," Artemis said, nodding her head. With two fur pouches slung over his shoulder Sam was ready to go. He smiled at Artemis and gently tugged on her elbow to lead her out of the damaged water cabin. "I'll never let you go!" Clay shouted as they walked away.
