Just as he'd assumed after nearly a month of crawling through this dungeon they reached the final boss door on the 15th floor, the door reminiscent of the one they'd encountered in the Pale Grotto.
The artwork upon it depicts a regal court setting with hundreds of ants arranged around their monarch sitting upon a throne.
With all the fighting they'd been doing Satou's own skills had levelled up quite a bit and he was also ready for his next class rank-up, but had yet to take it since he wanted to save it until he knew just what kind of boss they'd be facing at the end of this dungeon.
[Well at the very least I need to advance down my own Character class of Conjuror the real choice now is in which direction, there are only five branches of class evolutions for me to choose from, and the first 3 are against my play style so while they might be powerful I know little to nothing about them, so the real choice then becomes between choosing Warlock to alter matter into my summons by drawing upon world energies or to become a Kintiscist who draws power from other realms allowing me greater control over the attributes like I was some sort of airbending hero.
But if I want to be a summoner the choice has to be a Warlock then since I don't want to summon elements but a monster who can fight by my side.
[Class upgrade: Warlock Selected]
{FLASH}
Upon his selection, the section of the cavern next to the boss door where they'd set up camp was illuminated in a great flash of light, when it receded Kurama was no longer sitting on her box seat, and upon a quick examination of his status, Satou saw that all his summons had been dispelled, but was still present to be re-summoned.
[This is going to be like last time when I chose conjurer when all my summons took on new physical aspects that were more in line with the choice I just made]
[Summon: Kurama]
{Flash}
Again the cavern glowed but less intensely than before,
Returning to her place once again the Fox-kin girl was happily seated though now looking over at Satou with her head tilted.
"Sorry about that, I did a rank up and it forcibly called back all of my summons"
"Ok! Back so Kurama Happy!"
[Now let's see]
Keeping his gaze on the happy Twin-Tailed kobold girl examining her from top to bottom looking for any signs of change.
[Well right from the off, her colouring is a deeper orange than before, plus she's got black fur starting to come in around her eyes and ears, the typical fox tail tuft is fading and becomes more of a solid colour, and her eye colour is a deeper orange almost red as well]
"Embarrassing!!! Master staring!"
Writhing around on the box the fox-kin girl said something that would surely get him arrested back on earth which prompted his entire face to go red, as he had been staring intently at every part of here for a good while now without explanation.
After spending some time settling her down the pair started preparations for the final challenge.
The Ant Queen.
"As shown on the door, she's going to be a typical monarch in that she probably won't fight but will have an army at her command to fight us, probably some methods to produce more warriors or summon reinforcements as well"
"Fight Many, Will Win!"
"They all will fall before us!"
"Thump Thump"
Since they were dispelled before he regained the ability to summon those who had remained summoned when he entered the dungeon to begin with, though just like Kurama their forms had changed quite a bit, perhaps due to his being a higher rank, Hoogan was now a Goblin Dark Knight rather than a paladin, and his once gleaming armour now looked to be drawing in the surrounding light instead.
Creed and Rocky likewise changed in that the cracks that separated out the various white and black stones they made up their bodies now glowed as if they had a red light shining within them.
This was their combat line up, Kurama the twin-tailed Kobold, and Hoogan the Dark Knight goblin would be in charge of the front line fighters, Rocky and Creed would command the defensive line, while Satou as the overall commander would be at the back line summon the needed forces for if and when they are defeated.
The number of his summons had increased along with his level and rank up, along with the unlocking of the next rank of summons, though these came with a slight drawback in that he needed to use up Magic stones in order to perform the summon, luckily the number thus far wasn't an issue since the dungeon itself produced more than enough drop items for him to perform these summons,
Performing his maximum number of summons he brought forth an attacking force of Orthrus a type of twin-headed dog the size of a very large wolf, next he summonsed a series of D Rank stones which appeared like 75% scale forms of his own Stone Golems holding onto tower shields, and lastly a small complement of D Rank birds who could not only fly but also use wind magic a fatal weakness of earth type monsters.
This was his best line up possible to try and combat the probably swarm of ants they were likely to face shortly.
With that the door to the Queens antechamber was opened and while in formation Satou's army entered.
The Boss room door closing with a clang behind them.

The fight itself could only be described as a grind, as both sides fought as violently as they could with the battle lines constantly ebbing and flowing, summons were defeated and resummoned endlessly, and Satou meanwhile would command and summon till his MP ran out till he'd hastily chug down a mana potion before starting it all over again.
After who knows how many bottles his stomach was bulging quite a bit from all the liquid he'd consumed, but the end was in sight, their forces had managed to breach through the main battle lines and advance towards the queen while maintaining a defensive formation that kept Satou at its center totally protected.
With their advance coming close enough the Orthrus forces were dispelled and a complete company of bird summons were created except for the stone golems who formed up a tetsudo formation to hold off the ant onslaught.
This host of birds took off from within and took a flight straight for the queen, firing off their most powerful wind-based attacks into her massive body.
Unable to see what was going on, Satou focused his all on his status resummoning when needed, until all became quiet and light once again returned as his guardians stood up from their formation and the room could be seen emptied of all the ants that once coated it's floors and walls.
The dungeon had been cleared, his level shot up once again, as his summons got to work collecting up the remaining magic stones and drops the queen had released alongside her forces.
With this finished a new door was seen beyond the queens throne a doorway that looked just like the one he'd walk through before to get into this dungeon.

Turning the knob he and Kurama returned to the world once again, returning to the place they first disappeared from.
"Now it's been a month so I guess we need to find out where our friends have gone to don't we?"
