Chapter 07: Attack of the masked man

Just a minute ago they left everyone in the drawing room in a fine state, but now it seemed as if those people had taken sleeping pills, two of them were sleeping on the sofa while the others were laying on the floor. Even Justin Raymond was in a deep sleep.

They became scared. They ran towards the sleeping ones, and checked their veins and listened to their heart beats and they looked at each other like they are crazy. At last Daniel said running out of the drawing room,

"Lets run outside! We have to stop our dad. He should be here at this critical moment. We can still stop him."

"You both go after dad and I'll stay here and keep an eye on the door." Ella said wisely.

"Alright alright your majesty we'll do as you say but don't forget to close the front door from the inside." Aaron teased her a little and then both the brothers opened the door hurriedly and rushed outside. Ella quickly stepped forward to close the door But a black hand appeared in the doorway and punched her nose. It happened all so suddenly that she could not defend herself. She fell down in a daze. As she fell, she saw that whoever he was, he was a tall and thin man and he covered his face from the collar of the overcoat. After falling down she became senseless for some time. The Punch was really strong, if there had been someone else in her place, that person would have fainted by now, but she did not faint, instead she was pretending to be fainted. When the tall man went to the drawing room, she got up quickly and looked at the front door. The tall man forgot to lock it up. She left the door just as that man left it and moved towards the drawing room without making a single noise and when she saw the scene there she was horrified. The tall man was holding a large dagger and he was going towards Mr. Harry Wilson while Mr Harry's cousin, Mark Wilson was standing in a corner, trembling with fear. Death was moving towards his brother and he was too scared to do anything. Ella couldn't see these things happening, she couldn't do nothing and watch Mr. Harry Wilson die, as her father gave her the duty to protect him. She shouted with all her might,

"Hey you! You can't do this!"

The assailant turned around in shock and was surprised to see Ella, as he thought he made her unconscious and for that he was even proud of his punch. He said,

"Surprisingly, you did not faint. It seems like my punch was not hard enough. Don't worry, I'll punch you harder next time."

"Be Surprised later, show your face first, why are you hiding your face like a woman, is your so bad that you have to hide it from everyone with your overcoat?" Ella made fun of him and laughed.

"Why don't I deal with you first. Even if I show you my face, you will not know who I am." the tall man said." Saying this, he moved towards Ella. Now the situation was that, Ella was standing at the door of the drawing room while the tall man was walking towards her with a dagger in his hand.

"Be sure to show me your face before you kill me with the dagger, so that I can tell my father everything about how you look, after I'm dead." Ella said.

"I'll definitely show you my face, But at the time when the dagger would have landed in your chest and you would have been tormented. At that moment I will show you my face, laughing at you." the man said wickedly.

"Are you Josh Gordon?" She asked.

"You can call me anything, Josh as well. I have never cared about the names anyway." he said.

"That's not the answer to my question. Just tell me what I asked, are you Josh or not?" Ella asked curiously, at the same time she kept her eyes on his hands and the dagger because it was confirmed that he will not go back until he kill the judge. On the other hand she wanted to distract him and waste his time as she was waiting for her brothers Daniel and Aaron, and her father as well. But then the tall man came nearer, she felt that The danger is growing rapidly because, if Daniel and Aaron had not seen their father outside, they should have returned to this house immediately, as they both knew that things were not going well at this house. If they hadn't come back yet, it would have meant that they are both definitely in a deep trouble, and that's what Ella was worried about. She was worried about Daniel and Aaron safety more, than her own. And their failure to return also meant that Inspector Richard was gone. When she was left in thought, the tall man approached her...
