Chapter 10: Josh Gordon arrived

Half a mile from the club, Inspector Richard Holt parked the jeep in a sand dune. He got out of the jeep and started walking. After a five-minute walk, he arrived in front of the club. He saw thousands of colored light bulbs flashing on the walls of the club. The night was like the day. The club was surrounded by glass walls through which the occupants were clearly visible. There was a crowd of cars and motorbikes outside. He observed that the people sitting inside did not look decent in any way. Cruelty and numbness was dripping from their faces.

Inspector Richard walked calmly towards the door. At that time, he also put make-up on his face in such a way that it looked like someone had been released from prison. The guard at the door took one look at him and then politely gave way for him to enter. After entering, he reached an empty table, shifted his chair and sat down. Immediately a waiter approached him, bowed down and said:

"What can I do for you, Sir?"

"Get me a glass of water please." Inspector Richard said in a rough voice.

"Well we don't have that Sir. Are you new here?" The waiter asked.

"What?..... Is it a crime to come here for the first time?" Inspector Richard asked with an angry tone.

"No, it's not a crime. But before that, it is necessary to go to the counter of this hotel and get information. Then the person concerned will tell you the conditions for coming to this club. What do you get here to eat." the waiter replied

"Very well! I didn't know that. I'll do it now. Don't worry." After saying that Richard Holt got up and reached the counter, the counter clerk was already staring at him.

"Hi there. My name is Benson. Can you tell me the conditions of this club?" He asked, resting his elbows on the counter.

"Tell me about yourself first, what do you do?" the clerk asked.

"I commit major thefts." replied Inspector Richard.

"There is no place for thieves here because they are cowards. You should go somewhere else." the clerk said.

"But as well as being a thief, I am also a bully , a robber and a murderer." Richard Holt replied.

"Well done! How many robberies and murders have you committed so far?" the clerk asked with excitement.

"I have committed nine robberies and three murders." Inspector Richard said proudly as he was disguised as a criminal at that time.

"Never caught by the police?" the clerk asked again.

"No, never. The police have not been able to reach me yet." Richard Holt replied.

"Brilliant! The doors of this club are always open for people like you. You can come here whenever you want, even if the police is chasing you. We will hide you in a place where even the angels of the police will not be able to find you and for that you will have to pay five thousand dollars per month." the clerk told him.

"That means, no one can sit in this club without paying five thousand?" Richard Holt asked.

"No! Not at all." the clerk replied. On hearing this Richard Holt fell into deep thought. He didn't have that much money in his pocket at that time. He said,

"OK, I'll take five thousand dollars out of the bank in the morning and give it to you, but if you agree to take the check, I can write you one right now."

"That's fine. Checks are also received here." he said.

"Very well then! the problem is solved." Saying this, Richard Holt wrote a check and said,

"Now tell me, what does everyone get to eat and drink here?"

"You can get everything in here, whatever you eat will be billed in cash. All these members have become your partners since you became a member of the club. If an outsider raises his eyes and looks at you, they will all rise up against him." the clerk said.

"Alright that'll be great. A friend of mine also lives in this club, his name is Josh Gordon. He was released from Prison a few days ago. Do you have any information related to him?" Inspector Richard finally came to the main point.

"Josh? Oh! So you're Josh's friend as well. That's much greater. Wait let me introduce you to the rest of the members then I'll tell you about Josh." After saying this he went to the stage with Richard Holt, then he turned on the Mike and said:

"Ladies and gentlemen, please pay attention here I've an special announcement. Today a new criminal has joined our club, his name is Benson!" Hearing these words, everyone applauded loudly and looked at him carefully. Richard Holt left the stage with the clerk and asked him,

"Now tell me everything about Josh Gordon."

"Josh Gordon came here a week ago, but no one has seen him after that." he replied.

"Alright then whenever he comes here, just tell him that his friend Benson came here and he is looking for him." Richard Holt got disappointed.

At that moment a tall man entered and came straight to the counter, bowed in front of them and then he said to the counter clerk,

"Hello Jerry, how are you?"

The counter clerk and Inspector Richard looked at him together, then a strange thing happened. Counter clerk said,

"Ah! Let me introduce you to this man. His name is Benson." The tall man looked carefully at Inspector Richard and said in surprise:

"Who is this?"

"Hey, you don't know him, while he says you are his friend Mr. Josh," Babra said.

And Inspector Jamshed was shocked. At that moment, he realized that he had made a mistake by not taking a picture of Josh Gordon from Inspector Jordan. Josh Gordon was watched him with his eyes wide open.
