Bearing witness to the gloomy and silent expression that Sivreth had on his face.
"Seeing as how he's staying silent I'll answer you as it doesn't look like he is adverse to me speaking more of it." Gelebor voiced out, anticipating a response but Sivreth remained motionless.
Seeing no response he sighed before continuing.
"It goes way back to the late Merethic Era, when the Nords had wiped out most of our race. The Snow Elves either fled to seek refuge in places like the Chantry here, or made a pact with the Dwemer. Sivreth's…mother, Faireth was among the ones that came to the Chantry of Auri-El. However, sometime in the First Era when the Betrayed swarmed the Chantry in vast numbers, the oath she took withheld her from harming our own kind and other sentient beings, even for the Betrayed, so I had helped her to flee the Chantry and we made it to this place."
"Wait, why would his mom need to make an oath of to not harm her own kind?" Merril voiced out with eyebrows raised.
"When the Gods descended upon the world in the Dawn Era, deceived by Lorkhan, some gave up their forms and became one with the world, others became the first Aldmer that were the ancestors of all Elves. While others became the Gods worshipped by all today. Faireth's bloodline is the direct lineage of Auri-El. Many respected her and previous members of her family. But like everyone in the world, there were some that held fear and animosity. Faireth chose to take the oath when she took her second Pilgrimage here."
Merril showed a look of understanding at his explanation before he continued his prior topic.
"This is where I had remained for 4,000 years since. Faireth meanwhile, had ventured out on her own pilgrimage of enlightenment. With our race practically extinct, she lost her path and needed to rediscover it. The next time I met her was less than two decades ago, she had came to me with a Nord man holding her, and she was pregnant."
"Oh my! This is how baby Siv is born! Was he cute?!" She squealed, which got a chuckle from the four millennium year old Elf.
"You're certainly a cheerful one. He was. Faireth told me how she had to move from place to place and put up various spells to conceal her current place of residence. But one day, a Nord man named Aival had found her. The two obviously fought but she had easily beaten him. Faireth being the gentle person she was had taken care of his injuries, and Aival had a change of heart i suppose. Since he had decided to accompany her more out of curiosity if anything since himself, like all other Nords and people of the current time, only know the Falmer race as what they have become today, the Betrayed."
He took a pause before continuing.
"At some point they must have fallen in love, but I didn't pry or ask for information, only if it was genuine and if he can be trusted to which she said yes. When they came here with her pregnant, asking for my help in delivering the baby, I of course helped. Aival had escorted her to me, since they were being chased by great many Nords, even some of Aival's family, though they didn't know he was aiding her. When I helped Faireth deliver the child, it wasn't Sivreth that was born, but his twin sister Alorel."
"Siv! You have a sister!"
"…" The Elf of whom everyone was discussing topics related to, remained in silence, his expression unreadable.
"Hmm. Sivreth came next shortly after. But…when delivering the child i had a vision given to me by Auri-El. That was how I knew about you Riku within Sivreth's body. Two souls in one body. Without your soul having been sent by Auri-El into Sivreth's body during her pregnancy, all three of you would have died. Faireth would have a miscarriage with both Alorel and Sivreth, with herself dying from Childbirth soon after. The presence of your soul having come from beyond Aetherius allowed for your Soul to absorb vast amounts of Magicka during the crossing of your soul from your universe into this one. As a result, Faireth and Alorel's souls were able to unconsciously siphon off some Magicka from your soul to ensure their own survival. Without you, not one of you three would be alive."
"You said that I have two souls inside me…you mean Sivreth's soul…"
Both Merril and Gelebor were caught off guard by his sudden breaking off the silence.
The Knight-Paladin processed his sudden words and spoke on.
"Yes. Due to the crossing of your soul across universes. You didn't obtain consciousness until some years ago I'm assuming. During the time before that, i can reasonably believe that original Sivreth was in control of the body, until you yourself awakened and subconsciously took control."
"Wait! This is too confusing! So right now he is…Riku? Or is he Sivreth?"
"What Gelebor explained wasn't hard to guess you idiot. I am Riku, though that isn't my actual given birth name in the other world, I inhabit this body as of now. This body belongs to the real Sivreth and Sivreth's soul is still inside but I, Riku, have been the one in Control of the body for some years now. Gelebor, despite knowing this…my…Sivreth's mother took care of me and didn't try separating my soul from this body." I asked to him, to which he nodded in denial.
"No one other than we three, well four if I include your companion over there." To which Rael let out a small roar in response reminding everyone of his presence.
"…None other than us know about your circumstances. I felt that this was something you should tell Faireth about yourself when you're ready, she will understand."
"About that, your hypothesis was right. When I gained control of this body and awoke in this world, I was alone by a lake near Cyrodiil's Imperial City. Though…she died protecting Sivreth from Imperial and Thalmor pursuers."
"No she's still alive."
"What?"
"She's spoken to me quite frequently. Especially since you taught her a spell you had personally created. [Telepathic Link] is what she said you had named it as."
"What?! No, that's impossible! I only taught three people that spell! Na'shi, Elika and…" I leapt off the chair and onto my feet as I clutched my head in denial.
"Cirilla Snow-Fire…correct."
"That's, no, it cant be! Dammit I'm such an idiot!"
I remembered what I had said to her, to Cirilla, when I had lost my arm to Miraak and crafted my new one…
'Don't tell me what I need! Who do you think you are, my Mother?! You don't have the right to tell me to do something! You've no idea!'
…I really am a jerk and the biggest idiot aren't I…
My hand went to the small amulet i still wore around my neck. This was what she gave me, I'm sure that it must have some sort of enchantment on it but I don't know which.
"There's no need for any self blame. She wasn't strong enough to take the both of you two away from the Imperial City, soon after the two of you were separated she had fallen unconscious in a secluded place fortunately. And by the time she had woken up, recovered her magicka and and treated her injuries, she saw that you had already made friends and the beginning of a new life. She didn't want to rip you away from that, especially since you had been hiding so well from everyone. Though, she was prepared to take you and run should any danger befall you. She chose to conceal her identity, and go undercover as a student to stay close by your side. Every day since you left the Imperial City after your bold decree to the world, she has contacted me at least twice a day out of worry. Hoping that somehow, you had found your way to this place guided by Auri-El. But it seems you led yourself here, with memories of your past life about this world."
"Then you know-"
"I do not." He cut me off.
"But…"
"I know only that which Auri-El has shown me. Fate and Destiny are difficult concepts to understand, we are all bound yet unbound by them. Free to act on our own, yet the end is the same. But you are different, everything you have done are of your own accord, even if you are like all of us, characters in a story, created by a force or being beyond our knowledge or understanding…you are still you, you still have that Independence and identity. You are still the character in a story that YOU are a part off."
"…"
I didn't know when, but Rael had moved besides me and nuzzled his head against my arm.
"…Merril, how about you come with me for a while. Let's leave him to his thought, he has much to come to terms with."
"Uh ah yes!"
Merril looked back towards Sivreth but only saw a deep contemplative neutral expression. As both her and Gelebor left, Rael curled up besides Sivreth, as he was deep in thought, as everything that had been discussed had put a new weight on his shoulders.

A/n: I was reading some books in Elder Scrolls Online and I came across a real treasure find.
Ancient Tales of the Dwemer VIII: The Snow Elf and the Variation-Lens
It was a short story but so many cool terms were used. In short a Snow Elf maid called Lilyarel had a conversation with a Dwemer called Mzulchond.
The Dwemer found Lilyarel having made a Tonal device that can make music…but with her mental thoughts.
The Dwemer was utterly baffled by this since this has never been done.
This is a short interaction they had…
"Well, well," the engineer said. "So you've built yourself a crude tonal variation-lens. Is this what was playing the music I heard?"
"Yes, Sir Dwarf," the maiden said, gazing at the floor. "I hope I didn't do anything wrong."
"What, with this device? There's nothing dangerous in a melodic repeater bauble, so long as it doesn't leak bthun-waves from its volumizer. Can't have that—might interfere with the static condensers."
"Oh, don't worry, I used arkoid shielding—not very much!" she said anxiously. "But it's not a melodic repeater, Sir, it harmonizes with my mental melodies."
"Nonsense," Mzulchond scoffed. "No one knows how to synchronize a variation-lens with mental concept-cycles. It's never been done."
"I wouldn't know anything about that, Sir Dwarf," Lilyarel said, wringing her hands nervously. "I just flipped the duum-emitter so it canceled the demi-ektar-waves, and it worked just fine. Can I have it back now?"
"Hold on a dzum," the engineer said, raising a hand while he looked more closely at the gleaming device. "Flipping the duum-emitter cancels the demi-ektars? Yes … yes, I can see how that might work. This may be just the thing I need to attune my animus geode to the Nirnpith Essence!"
As Mzulchond turned in excitement to take the variation-lens back to his workshop, the Elf maiden picked up a flipper-strut with both hands and struck him across the back of the head. The tonal architect fell dead to the ground.
…
After this she left with the device and the book ends soon after.
But Mental thoughts, something like this a Snow Elf had been able to make unlike masters of the craft like the Dwemer which really shows the creativity and genius of others. A shame the Nords wiped out the Snow Elves.
ps. Best fucking news ever, I found a save of my really old notes. You know, the ones I said were deleted a long time ago, Yes! Haha, I knew I had hidden them somewhere so my asshole brother couldn't delete it, turns out it was on an alternate email account I made at the time. Let me just say, I now have detailed chapters and arcs fully structured all the way up to the main events of Skyrim just after the Dovahkiin recovers the Dragonstone from Bleak Falls Barrow.
Pss, the Last Dragonborn's identity had both been teased and revealed while at the same time it hadn't been, but the identity will be known soon after the Snow Prince Rises Arc, hehe you lot might be suprised.
