Moon

*Narrator pov*

Moonlight bathed Hogwarts in an ethereal glow as the Forbidden Forest loomed in the distance. The ancient trees swayed along with the wind, their shadows dancing in the silver light. A lone owl hooted, breaking the stillness, as students cast furtive glances towards the forest, curious but wary. The full moon's brilliance illuminated the castle, creating a magical ambiance that stirred both excitement and trepidation among the Hogwarts inhabitants.

The moonlight spilled like liquid silver across the Forbidden Forest, painting a mesmerizing tapestry of shadows and highlights. Wisps of mist rose from the forest floor, lending an eerie quality to the ancient trees. Each leaf seemed to shimmer in the celestial glow, creating an enchanted pathway that beckoned the daring to explore its depths. The nocturnal symphony of creatures echoed through the woods, their mysterious calls blending with the soft rustle of leaves. Under the full moon's watchful eye, the Forbidden Forest revealed its secrets, unknown to most of the inhabitants of the old castle.

Inside the forbidden forest a young child could be seen, the moonlight illuminated his figure and like a switch was flipped Remus Lupin's transformation began, his body contorting with an unsettling grace. As the full moon's glow intensified, a tremor passed through him, and his limbs elongated, bones shifting beneath the surface. His back snapped back into a painful arch, muscles rippling with the strain of the metamorphosis.

His hands twisted into gnarled claws, nails elongating into razor-sharp talons. Beads of sweat formed on his forehead as he fought against the agonizing change, his breaths now shallow and erratic. Lupin's eyes, once warm and human, glowed with an ominous yellow light as the wolf within him clawed its way to the surface.

A guttural growl emanated from his throat, now elongated and muzzled. His senses heightened, capturing every scent and sound in the night air. The transformation reached its peak, and Lupin's body fully embraced the monstrous form of a werewolf. Animated by the haunting energy of the moon, he prowled the grounds with a feral grace, lost to the wild instincts that dominated him during the cursed nights.

"AWOOO!" He howled into the moonlit sky before taking off into a full sprint his massive, sinewy limbs propelled him forward, each stride covering vast distances as if he were a creature born of the shadows. His fur, a mottled mix of grays and browns, rippled in the moonlit night.

Moonlight glinted off his sharp, elongated claws, and his eyes burned with an intense, predatory glow. Saliva dripped from his powerful jaws as he navigated the forest floor, a creature of primal instincts. Lupin's howls pierced the air, echoing through the ancient trees, sending shivers down the spines of any creatures unfortunate enough to share the Forbidden Forest with him.

Leaves and twigs crunched beneath his massive paws, and his breath formed clouds of mist in the chilly night air.

His mind was barely registering what was happening around him the instinct of a werewolf was too strong. Suddenly he stopped and sniffed the air, a low growl left his maw as he changed directions.

Remus saw a hazy man draped in a dark cloak he wanted to turn back, to run in the other direction but, his instincts his body wanted him to speed up and pounce.

The eery figure smiled seeing the werewolf charge at him and flicked his wand throwing Remus to the side.

Remus got onto his fours once again angrily pouncing at Morpheus who was the robed figure. Morpheus once again waved his wand and Remus went flying to the other side hitting his back on a tree.

"The instincts, the rage, focus it, Remus. You can control the beast, feel the anger in your body, and channel it into fuel," Morpheus said preparing for another attack

Remus barely heard the words as he encircled the professor, "Grrrrr," his low growl singled he wasn't giving up just yet

"Good, don't attack right away asses the situation, lean into your instincts but don't lose yourself in them. Think about what you hold close, create an anchor to settle your mind," Morpheus spoke his voice carrying an allure that seemed to affect the werewolf

Remus then ran back into the darkness of the forest making sure to avoid the moonlight.

Morpheus chuckled as we surveyed his surroundings knowing what was coming next.

*swish* at breakneck speed Remus lunged at Morpheus from behind right as Remus's jaw clamped onto Morpheus's neck the wizard disappeared into smoke

"That's enough for tonight sleep well," Morpheus's voice sounded behind Remus, and suddenly the werewolf felt groggy

Remus collapsed onto the ground, his chest rising and lowering at a steady pace.

"Good dreams young one," Morpheus said before disappearing

When the sun rose Remus was confused, he remembered bits and pieces but couldn't form the full picture of what happened the night before. But, for some odd reason, he felt a voice in the back of his head telling him he could control his bestial instincts in time.

"What a ridiculous thought," he muttered before standing up and heading toward the castle

*Morpheus pov*

I sat in Albus's office enjoying a cup of tea, it's breakfast time around now so most of the professors and all of the students were in the great hall stuffing their faces.

I wish I was there honestly I wanted to see how much Remus remembered, "Do you think it's possible?" Albus asked drawing me from my thoughts

I nodded taking a small sip of my tea, "Yes, Remus is stronger-willed than he gives himself credit for. With some guidance and hard work he can get his instincts under control," I replied

Albus was the one who explained Remus's situation to me, not that I didn't know already. He explained that while he was researching my background, again not that I can blame him for that as I would have in his position. Anyways, he learned that many werewolves attend Evernight. The school I say I went to.

Which of course got him curious leading him to learn about how packs function in some parts of America. Most importantly how it is possible for werewolves to control themselves during the transformation.

When that Belby fellow creates the wolfsbane potion in the future I'm sure the process will be much smoother.

The gist is Albus asked me to see if there was anything I could do to help.

Albus smiled gratefully, "That's good, I'd hate for him to grow up in fear of himself," he popped a candy in excitement

I laughed, "Remus has potential and that's undeniable, what he needs now is something to anchor his emotions that he can always remember and lean on and a strong pack to help him out initially," I said before finishing off my tea

"A pack?" Albus frowned, "I don't think that will be possible", he said knitting his brows in irritation

I smiled cryptically, "Oh we don't need to worry about that, it seems Remus has that part underway,"

Albus looked up in surprise, "Truly? Tell me more I hope he's not getting into anything dangerous,"

I shook my head, "I assure you dangerous isn't the word I'd use,"

More like mischief.
