vacation? not so much

*Morpheus pov*

The gentle breeze of the wind brushed across my body, and the salty but yet fresh smell of the ocean filled my senses as I gazed out into the sea. My bare feet deep into the sand I felt the world around me.

A glass of wine was in my hand as I enjoyed the calmness of the ocean, this is what a vacation is supposed to feel like.

Turning I continued to walk along the beach gentle waves licked at my feet with each step I took. Negary flew from the sky landing on my shoulder, "Have fun?" I asked

"Caw!"

"I know you needed this vacation too, you already got everything I needed so now just relax," I replied with a gentle smile

"Caw Caw!" the turning of his head amused me

"Now, don't be upset because I'm pretty sure I told you that you would be busy, and look now you're not! Fly free my friend," I remarked waving my hand to the side

Negary ignored my words deciding to climb onto my arm instead and dip his beak into my wine, "Don't drink too much less you forget how to fly straight again," I said in jest

"Caw caw caw!" I could feel the scorn

A sigh escaped my lips, "Fine drink up," I couldn't help but laugh at the happy flutter of Negary's wings

Undipping his head from the wine Negary took flight once more circling above my head. The sun licked my pale skin as it began to lower.

I could feel the water beginning to turn colder and I honestly enjoyed it the cold water brushing against my feet seemed to keep me alive.

As I neared a secluded part of the beach with jagged rocks laid about I began to feel something in the air almost tasting it.

My pleasant expression morphed into one of displeasure and anger, I felt them nearby.

The Magic of an Angel and a Demon mixing together in a disastrous nauseating manner. Fate, is something so fickle. I would say I don't believe in fate but, how could I? I practice divination after all.

A vacation to America on a random whim to a beach I haven't visited before and yet I run into not only an angel but a demon?

Fate oh how I love you sometimes I was beginning to think my vacation was useless but to find two creatures ripe for the kill?

How pleasant.

*Narrator pov*

Morpheus approached the sickening aura at a calm pace, his body shrouded in countless spells eliminating his very presence. This time no footprints were left on the sand.

Nearing the point where the aura was the strongest Morpheus saw two creatures meeting. One was an old-looking male with grey hair but you could feel the power of his presence, the other was a younger male with striking blond hair his presence was more subdued but just as powerful.

The blond carrying the aura of an Angel pointed to the ocean Morpheus quickly enhanced his hearing, "The array at the bottom is almost completely set up, we just need to prepare an anchor,"

The old demon nodded, "Good, the anchor will be here soon. Tonight we must finish the wards, the human wizards are snooping around too much it seems their methods of detection have enhanced since our last entry into the human world,"

The angel scoffed, "Barely, they are just picking up on the residual magic being cast here. It won't take long to conceal let's get to work,"

Morpheus smirked at the sight they both were unaware of the pale man watching them from afar. Negary now perched on his shoulders exuded a bloodthirsty aura.

Morpheus using the ritual dagger he always kept with him began to carve into the nearby rocks occasionally stopping to write something in the sand. His movements were fast but hidden from sight, his mind manifesting several paths to victory.

He felt the pulses of magic as they set up a ward to contain the magic leaking from this section of the beach, laughing in his mind Morpheus grinned at the fact they were directly helping him set up his kill zone without even knowing it.

Finished with his preparations Morpheus stepped from his cover cutting his palm with the dagger the smell of blood would easily reach their noses even with the concealments and if the smell didn't the chant surely would.

"apó to aíma mou" (from my blood) he intoned deeply causing his palm to gain a burning sensation his blood dripped endlessly onto the sand

"tha pníxei tous echthroús mou" (it will drown my enemies)

"sti thálassa kai sti steriá" to the sea and land

The blood began to bubble sinking into the sand

"férnei katastrofí kai póno" (bring destruction and pain)

The angel and demon looked over alarmed at the noise seeing Morpheus approach them with steady steps his blood leaving a bubbling trail behind him. Curiously Negary was not present.

"Morpheus!" the demon hissed summoning flames to his hand

As he was about to strike a shadow loomed to his side, "CAW!" a thunderous caw sounded as a giant Negary swept from the side

The creatures were flung backward by the sneak attack but immediately countered one with flames and the other with blades of wind.

"I'll handle the familiar kill Morpheus!" The Demon yelled to his companion

But it was too late, "nióse tin orgí mou o vromeró plásma" (feel my wrath oh foul creatures) Morpheus's palm now faced outward as the rocks and sigils he carved on behind him began to glow

The now blood-red sand and rocks shot forward forming what could only be described as a red tidal wave rushing toward the angel. The angel unfurled his wings flying to the sky while shouting spells trying anything to stop the advance. The tidal wave of sand and rocks only seemed to absorb the spells as it reached upward.

The demon looked over distracted by the magic alarm plastered across his face before it morphed into pain, "AHH!" he shouted as Negary clawed across his face

Morpheus held a dark smile as he controlled the mass of earth splitting it up into tendrils surrounding the angel, "Help me!" he shouted to his demonic ally

"Arghh!" the demon shouted in pain as he began to morph into his true form

Morpheus smirked tossing his hand to the side watched as the mass toppled onto the demon and Negary flew at the angel evading all attacks.

Morpheus clenched his hand feeling the demon fighting for freedom, "The more he fights the more he falls to his death," Morpheus muttered

As he felt the resistance weakening Morpheus looked up to see Negary clawing out the Angel's wings dropping him from the sky.

"AHHHH!" the Angel screamed in agony as he thumped onto the beach floor

Morpheus laughed flicking his wrist and moving the sand to imprison the Angel. When the sand moved away from the demon's last position their was no body in sight.

It was already consumed.

"Wh-what is this!" The angel groaned out in pain

"Painful isn't it, The feeling of being consumed?" Morpheus asked softly as Negary landed next to him

The angel glared at the professor, "It doesn't matter if you kill me, this is but one operation! We will win,"

Morpheus laughed, "Operation huh? Don't flatter yourself I didn't come here to stop anything I just was nearby and sensed your filthy presence and decided to kill you. Nothing more nothing less,"

With that Morpheus clenched his hand causing the angel to be covered in the blood-red sand.

A/N: Okay, got some complaints on the vampire chapter about him looking weak. This fight I wanted to show what he can do with some prep time, on a playing field he could manipulate.
