It's almost time

Watching as the students excitedly filed out of the carriages and ran up to the great hall while barely containing the urge to shout that they won while at the same time gorging themselves with all of the food they could gather was amusing, to say the least.

"It seems they find this win more rewarding than the last," I noted as my fellow professors walked slowly behind the duelists

"These duels were more fierce than before, I think the students truly felt like they achieved something today," Abara noted with a happy smile

Yowie broke into a soft chuckle, "More fierce eh? That could be a reason but I also think it's because the Americans and our students didn't get along as well as we did with the Mahoutokoro students,"

Albus who was to my left hummed in agreement, "Let's let the students bask in their victory a while longer I'm sure they will soon remember they will have to attend classes once more,"

"I would love to join you all for celebrations but, I'm a tad more tired than I expected I will see you in the morning," I gave them all a respectful nod before branching off in the other direction

"Rest well my friend," Abara said before I could exit earshot

"Goodnight Morpheus," Yowie chimed

"See you tomorrow Morpheus," Albus said I could hear his grandfatherly smile pointed at the back of my skull

I walked into my room and decided I actually was going to sleep but before that, I wanted to check something. Taking a bronze bowl I set it on the table, lighting a candle I hovered the bowl around the flame on the outside and inside before finally setting the bowl down and moving the candle to the top right of the trable.

Nodding contently at the mild warmth I felt from the bronze bowl I began to pour enriched wanted inside and finally, I poked a small hole in my finger allowing a drop of blood to drip into the water.

"ostende mihi" I incanted softly

The bloody water began to ripple before showing an image of Vlad's castle in Romania. A smile crept onto my face as I looked at the mayhem before me vampires ripping each other apart was almost therapeutic to watch.

I waved my hand over the bowl and watched as the blood-water mix rippled before being replaced with the scenery of Vlad inside his high tower a group of vampires around him most likely the last survivors.

Usually, I would never be able to scry into the castle like this but with the vampires rampaging carrying a concoction I specifically made I can sneak by them.

A sigh escaped my lips at the sight of Vlad and his last support beams standing inside the castle, I know they will fall soon enough which means I must keep my eye out for the right moment to activate the second portion of my plan for the vampires.

"You could have just stayed loyal and prevented all of this," my gaze never left the mentally exhausted figure of the once mighty vampire king.

As the students celebrated and Morpheus spied; in the darkness of Britain a gathering was being held. Men and women gathered with silver masks waiting for their Lord to arrive and tell them his plans, his vision for the future.

Dark smoke began to shift before the group forming the shape of a thin and pale man, "My Lord!"" the group uttered taking a knee before him

His magic seemed to fill the air with a dark taint a smile gracing his twisted lips as he scanned the room, "My followers the time is almost before us," he uttered his voice was not loud nor was it quite

It was powerful.

"We have sat back and watched as the mudbloods invaded our lands! Desecrated our traditions! But, NO MORE will we watch as everything we stand for is ripped apart by filth! Those who stand against us stand with them! And we will show no mercy!"

The crowd cheered as the dark lord spoke their reverence toward the man bled through the atmosphere those who were at first unsure of their convictions grew firm in resolve the more he spoke.

"We have gathered our allies, planned our attack and soon we will begin to make our presence known and strike fear into the hearts of the filthy mudbloods polluting our society!"

The crowd ate out of his palm relishing in his every word, the man ruled by fear but you couldn't say he wasn't charismatic in a sick and twisted way.

Time seemed to wait for no one as the clock ticked away drawing close to the near future of war and misery.

Decent speech, a tad bit too short though I would have gone deeper into the feelings purebloods held over 'thievery' of magic and abolishment of traditions. It would have drawn a bigger emotional pull anchoring the resentment and rage.

But, it's the kid's first war speech I can't judge too hard.

I could tell Albus of the recent developments but I fear it will be counterproductive to what we are trying to achieve.

He would worry and get sidetracked from improvement, nothing needs to change he won't understand he still thinks Tom is an issue.

Sighing I shook my head clearing the distracting thoughts I first needed to figure out what my students will be learning. Scrying is going rather well but, I need to add some more into the mix before this year is over.

Humming in thought I took out a parchment and began to write a list of possible magic branches I could delve into before the year was over. Occasionally I crossed out a name realizing it was either too advanced or could only be used if you had exceptional sight.

Soon I decided to crash for the night.

Eating breakfast bright and early I watched the still-excited children retell their gallant duels. It was interesting to see which students would try to embellish the facts before one of their friends would call them out on it.

Mainly James.

Shaking my head in amusement I took another bite of my eggs before washing down the meal with a tall glass of water.

When glass approached and my students started to file in I smiled seeing they were still prepared for lessons and not still caught up in their victory.

"Today let us delve deeper into the strange and magical topic of our senses"
