"Mitchell, how do you expect to progress when you insist on thinking I cannot see you copying Amber," I called out watching as the boy's face slowly reddened and Amber flipped over her paper
"Sorry professor," he mumbled sheepishly, "I don't think I can do this,"
Despite his feeling of being the only one struggling I saw several other students slowly nod their heads grimacing at their own lack of improvement.
A sigh escaped my lips, "Sometimes I forget you are all still young just learning the beauty and hardships of magic. So far all of the spells you've learned were quite simple perhaps you struggled for one class before getting it down. This spell is not like that, you will struggle, you will triumph, and you will definitely be frustrated. But, I promise if you continue to follow my lessons and exercises this is something you will use throughout your life,"
"Now, let's circle back to what we talked about at the beginning of class before you all head off," I gathered their papers and set the stack on my desk, "Who can tell me about utilizing your attuned art in conjunction with other divination spells?"
"I'll answer for the diving rod sir," Marinette spoke causing my brows to raise as she hardly ever participated in class
"Go on," I nodded sitting atop my desk
A brief smile crossed her lips, "When a sufficient level of skill is reached with the diving rod you can use it to scry things not near you. Like using a map you can use the diving rod to point toward a location you are searching for. Um, I think you also mentioned it could be used as an anchor?" she finished a little hesitantly
I nodded, "Indeed, a wonderful explanation Marinette. To explain further about what an anchor means I will discuss divination at its core. Divination is what? A practice of using your magic to see into the past, the present, or the future; and in many cases advanced spells require you to work with either a partner or you must have an anchor. I cannot stress this fact enough, without one of the two you will be lost in the vision your mind addled and crushed under the weight of the vision. Of course, most divination practitioners are solitary by nature so having a partner is rather rare,"
I then hopped off my desk and walked over to the side and picked up a divining rod, "An anchor grounds you to the world making it near impossible to be lost in the magical world of divination but, it is not unheard of to still be lost so he careful. Most divination practitioners have their anchor as something personal that theyve carried and used throughout their life."
Gesturing to the class I continued, "For you, all your resonated techniques might suit you best. Although the necessity for an anchor won't come until much later."
"What about us that are resonated as literacy diviners? We don't have a deck of cards or a rod like the others," a student called out
I shrugged, "Perhaps your favorite book or something else entirely, I'm not saying you must make your resonated art your anchor in the future it is just something most do,"
"Now let us talk about-"

"Ah it seems it's time, students instead of heading to your next class make your way to the great hall it seems our guests are arriving shortly," I smiled gesturing for them to pack up
The students gathered their materials and began to file out of class and I did the same quickly tucking away the papers I gathered swiftly I left my classroom.
Usually, other schools would try to show up around breakfast time as we had when we traveled but, Uagadou's delegation decided to show up around lunchtime meaning they would be here a little later than usual.
Walking toward the great hall slowly to allow the rush to die down I waited around the entrance knowing I would be leaving soon anyway to welcome the Uagadou students headmaster and professors.
After they arrive the schools doors will open for friends and family to arrive.
*Narrator pov*
A giant merchant ship soared through the air treating the wind like waves in a vast ocean. Students peered over the rails watching the earth pass swiftly by. A large castle stood in the distance clouds brushing over the spires creating a majestic sight.
"Professor are we really not allowed to use our animagus transformations still?" one of the students groaned in complaint
The professor chuckled shaking his head at his student's anguish, "You can but I don't think it is wise as I've said many times,"
"You saying something isn't wise is as if saying it isn't allowed I don't wish to return to school having to do compulsory training," the student quipped
The professor shook his head once more a familiar action when dealing with this particular student, "Adan don't be so simple-minded,"
Before Adan could continue a grunt was heard, "Stop fooling around we are almost there," an aged voice spoke
The professor and Adan turned to see an aged man in purple robes a scowl marring his face, "Professor Omari," the young professor gave a curt nod
"Jabari," the aged man grunted, "You have duties to fulfill stop playing around,"
Jabari smiled, "What danger is there to the students right now?"
Professor Omari's scowl somehow deepened even further as he turned and walked away.
Adan peered over to his most favorite professor, "What is wrong with Professor Omari recently? He's been in a worse mood than usual,"
Jabaris's smile strained, "Family issues Adan do not concern yourself over such matters,"
The giant ship began to slow as it got closer and closer to the castle and its altitude began to lower ever so slowly.
The ship glided into the black lake creating ripples in the water, "Lower the anchor and the walkway! We have made it," a strong voice sounded from the top deck reaching everywhere on the ship even the lower room levels
The students worked in unison docking the ship before lowering the drawbridge. At the edge of the lake Albus, Yowie, Minerva, and Morpheus stood.
Before any of the professors and students left the ship they waited for their esteemed headmaster. A man began to walk down from the wheel he had a nice trimmed beard and wore a copious amount of jewelry his hair knotted as if he spent ages traveling the sea.
The man looked like a wizard pirate.
"Albus! Thank you for having us what a nice scenery I don't think I've been here before," the man's voice boomed
"Davu, I'm glad you could make it please come down and join us we have food prepared in the great hall,"
