Sabotaging The Deal

Betty nodded went to the table where the senior officials were sitting. Obviously Grace tagged along being a chirpy one she said hello to all of them. Ignoring their serious demeanors

Camella tasted vinegar, when she heard that Benjamin had invited all the VP's of the company for lunch in the cafeteria she was excited. She thought that perhaps he wanted to spend time with her in order to compensate her for the morning but when she heard him calling her and inviting her to sit next to them, her face darkened.

Betty sat on the far right of the table in the opposite role of Benjamin next to the vice president of marketing who immediately became flustered by her presence. He couldn't concentrate on eating so while everyone else was talking he was only stealing glances at betty.

Once again Benjamin became angry and was boiling. He looked at the marketing VP and said "I'm hearing that our hotels are not being perceived as quality hotels, there is a report flashing on some travel website".

The VP started sweating, his attention was drawn to the CEO "I am sorry sir, but I will find out the root cause of this issue". 'Yes you must, as a matter of fact I suggest that you stop eating and investigate about it right now" said Benjamin narrowing his eyes at him.

Within a few seconds that VP left almost everyone else on the table became serious, then Benjamin looked at betty and said "have you found out what I have asked you about?

"Yes, I have already prepared a report it is ready whenever you want to see" she replied.

Camella's curiousity level went six notches high when she heard about it, she texted Rita to find out about the reports in betty's computer before the launch got over.

In the next twenty minutes, all of them eat lunch with conversation that mainly revolved around the latest politics of the country.

As soon as it was over they all started going to the respective floors. But camella went along with Benjamin and the two friends she had to talk to Rita

"Don't you have work in your office camella?" Benjamin asked with a smirk.

"I have to pick a file from the finance department" she said with a soft laugh. When they reached the office floor Benjamin said "Grace, Betty will be busy for a long time should I get you droped at your place?

It was the first interaction of Grace with Benjamin, she like the fact that he was very well controlled. She laughed silently at the lunch time when she saw him rebuked the senior officials that was glancing at betty every now and then. "I haven't been able to spend time with Betty for a while" she replied with a pout "I want to be with her".

He smiled at her replied "okay once the office is over I will take her to your place".

Grace smiled and said "thank you sir" she stayed back in the lift to go back down while the remaining stepped out of it.

"Betty please come with me to the office" said Benjamin and walked to his office

As soon as camella saw the two of them disappearing behind the office door she hurriedely went to Rita to ask about the file from Betty's computer

"I am sorry, but they have taken away betty's computer soon after she has finished her research" replied a confounded Rita.

In the office when Betty entered after Benjamin, she saw that lady Vennesa was already seated there comfortably sipping hot tea. Betty was surprised but she smiled greeted her again.

"How are you dear child? At lady Vanessa

"I'm good auntie" she reply politely

Benjamin sat in front of Lady Vanessa and said "let's talk business".

In the morning, camella had literally bashed in the meeting just five minutes before as soon as she heard from Rita about it. She was driving to the office when she got a phone call from Rita

"Madam, Benjamin and Betty have gone to meet lady Vanessa" she said reported to camella as she panicked.

Camella was a spy in Victoria Empire. She knew that Benjamin was highly interested in the hotel and she had to somehow make him decide against it. So she had the project plan she asked Rita to make fake report about Lady venessa hotel and fax it to her office. As soon as Camela reached her office, she picked the file and rush to Lady Vanessa. She had reached the meeting point much before Benjamin, thankfully she waited for him to come so that she could present a negative report in front of him to double the impact of making it look like a rotten project.
