Chapter 9

My forehead creased when I heard a loud shout that makes my ears irritated! What kind of damn voice she has? It feels like I’ll become deaf if she didn’t stop. This is what I hate about being a dog and wolf. Our ears were so sensitive when it comes to noises and I don’t want that, especially this kind of shout. Mortals being mortals and I don’t have a choice but to let them since I’m just a fucking dog!

I can’t even throw them a glare since they will assume that I’m just looking at them curiously. If only I were in my human form, I know that they will be afraid or being tamed. I’m known for being cold and intimidating when it’s needed but I can’t be right now.

I’ll get my revenge on them. Not now but soon. Just wait, mortals.

“Greetings, Ma’am. What can we do for you?” the saleslady asked while keep on glancing at me instead of this woman next to me.

I mentally shook my head and look away. Saleslady shouldn’t be like this, easily got distracted. They should focus on their customers, not on their pets! I mean, wait- did I accept myself being a dog? What the-!

My eyes widened when I felt someone pat my head so I turn my head right away to look for that mortal and when I saw this saleslady petting me, I immediately bite her hand and barked at her. The woman beside me pulled my chain right away which made me annoyed even more.

“Oh shit! Sorry, Miss.” The fuck?! Why is she apologizing to this saleslady?

“No, it’s okay, Ma’am. I think, I scared him,” she chuckled nervously and look at me but I just growled and look at her as if I’m going to bite her anytime. I saw how her face became pale as if she immediately know the look that I’m giving her. I even saw her gulp and look away before getting something.

That’s right, mortal. You should know your place.

Even if I’m just a mere husky and trespasser here, I don’t care. No one should disrespect me especially if she didn’t ask for my permission. Well, except for this woman beside me since she’s my owner although, I’m still a prince who got cursed by a witch.

Now that I remember, the demon that attack me before, who’s that? What does he need? Who the fuck are his target? I still can’t get over how I transformed into my human form and then became a husky again. What kind of mystery is this? I’m not fucking good at this game! If only they announce a war then I’m good at that since we are trained to be good at fighting but when it comes to magic, we know we are at loss.

I didn’t know how many hours we walk and bought every item we saw here at this mall. All I know is that I’m now tired and I want to eat my dog food! At first, the taste of the dog food isn’t tasty but later on, I don’t know, I became addicted to this.

Is it a good sign or not? Hopefully, I wouldn’t get crave that dog food and dog treats when the curse lifts. Because if yes, I don’t know what to do anymore. Maybe, I’ll faint or become crazy. Fuck! Thinking about that gives me goosebumps and I can’t imagine myself being like that.

I shook my head repeatedly and sigh but the woman beside me suddenly chuckled as if she saw something funny. I stare at her and tilt my head.

“I’m sorry. I just found you cute whenever you sigh. You look like a human to me and not just a dog,” she suddenly said that made me shocked. So my behavior isn’t just like that for a dog? Shit! I should become dumb then so she wouldn’t suspect me.

But damn! I don’t want to be dumb shit in front of her or anyone. Why can't the earth just eat me? I really can't stand it as if any minute, I’ll give up and let the fate do something here. If I’m really meant to be a dog or get my curse lift.

She place her soft hands on my tummy and lift me before kissing my head which made my cheeks burn. What the fuck, woman?! Why the hell did you kiss my head without asking my permission?

“Aww! Don’t be mad. I’ll give you a dog treat once we reach our house, okay?” she said but I didn’t react. How can I react if a woman just kisses your head? Yes, I know, I’m fucking a dog right now but that is not an excuse! Not because I’m just a dog, I can’t tantrum now. I still have rights since my mom only kisses my forehead, not a stranger!

“So how’s your free day, Ma’am?” the driver asked. We’re now heading to this woman’s house and I still didn’t take a glance at her since I still remember how soft and warm her lips touch my head- wait! How come I remember her lips? Shit! I must be crazy now!

“Why is your dog suddenly howled, Ma’am?” I heard the driver ask but I didn’t mind since I need to take out all of my stress and the memory of her kissing my head! Bullshit! What kind of life do I have now?

First, a witch cursed me. Second, she throws me here, and third, a woman kisses my head?! As far as I remember, I didn’t hurt anyone when I’m still in my human form but now? What kind of bad luck do I have?

Is this the reason why I can’t fall in love aside from being cursed as a dog, did someone curse me too to become unlucky when it comes to women?
