Chapter 9 - MIDNIGHT

THE BEST KIND OF LIGHT IS ONE WHICH COMES FROM WITHIN, TOO BAD IT HAS AN EXPIRY DATE

(MIDNIGHT)

The thing about fantacies is when they disguise themselves in the manner which fits your wishes completely, letting you dream endlessly with no remorse. Quite cruel reality isn't it?

The park which James and William were located at seemed weird for some reason, there was no sense of openness about the place even in the slightest, more like the existence of the park was a farcard to begin with. Everything looked out of place, and the emptiness which resonated throughout the whole park spoke volumes to James.

James looked at William who looked to be in his actual comfort zone, more like the whole book was created by William's subconscious instead of it being James's mind. James quickly gathered himself up and turned towards William, and just when he was about to speak to him, a huge door appeared in front of them then James spoke and said, "The beautiful thing about family is how close necked every members gets to the other whether in need or not, wouldn't you agree William?" William could not fully understand what was happening around him, so he answered with a simple yes in order to get the question over with. But jut when William stated his answer James opened the door in front of them and pushed William inside without following suit. When William entered through the door, he heard a sound which meant that the door had shut itself and he would be stuck inside a place he himself did not know of.

As he walked along the dark place which existed inside the door, he could not feel anything around him nor was there any light for him to be able to now of his whereabouts.

After a few minutes of darkness, he found himself in a room, his clothes had completely changed not to mention his hair, he had always been a natural blond yet his hair look as dark as the colour of the shoes he had on. The room he was in seemed to be a a bedroom of some sort, with a bed, wadrrope and dresser in place, The room had an interesting type of decor, more like it was a vintage inspired bedroom, the tackiness of the room overwhelmed William completely. Something which took his attention the mirror which was in front of him, although he was standing in front of it, his reflection was on visible on it. There was a knop in the right side of the mirror as well, this on its own made William even more suspicious about the whole room. When he tried to touch the door knob he heard a voice speaking to him, it was James's voice, but he was nowhere to be found. The voice said, "Welcome to the Jones family William, you will be part of this family from here on. There is something i would love to know about you sir. and why is it that this particular book chose you in the first place?"

William being in utter shook, stood still for a moment in order to fully grasp the whole situation he was in, he then proceeded and asked, "What do you mean the book chose me? I thought you wanted to help me find a book that would best suite me." And with a small chuckle the voice said, "It wants to give you what you desire the most William, why not figure out what that is for once and for all?"

And with those words Williams door opened allowing him to leave the room and enter into the rest of the house.
