Aftermath

The dust of victory had settled, but Kazuichi knew this was only the beginning of the aftermath. As he glanced around the battlefield, it was evident that, while Hayato's threat had been subdued, remnants of his twisted plan lingered. Stray hybrids staggered in confusion, dangerous even without their commander's guiding hand. And then, there was the looming threat that hung in the air like a blade—Hayato's meteorite bombs, scattered across Tokyo and the nearby strongholds, each one capable of transforming anyone within range into a mindless, twisted version of themselves.

Kazuichi's jaw tightened as he took in the enormity of the task. Around him, his allies were picking through the aftermath, checking on the wounded and gathering the fallen. But they needed to act fast. Any remaining hybrids could regroup and retaliate, and the bombs—if not defused in time—posed a catastrophic risk to everything they'd fought for.
