Chapter 12: Blood and war

Grace and Veronica battle was intense, using her abilities gave Veronica the upper hand as she teleported to fight with Grace who barely keep up with her powers.

"You're weak... Not fully developed in strength", said Veronica. "Do you really think you can win? You don't have what it takes, you lack the balls and courage to out smart me".

Veronica teleported in everyway to attack Grace, with her invisibility at her disposal she threw Grace like a ragdoll. "I'll drain the life out of you before your death", said Veronica. "Your death with be slow and painful".

Grace eyes then turned black as she was able to get hold of Veronica and threw her aside while she teleported and came from above. She landed on Grace's shoulders and with some swift acrobatic moves, she threw Grace aside, using her super speed to hurt her with claws. Grace stood still why been scratched with claws protecting herself and strategizing her next moves. This came as a shock to Veronica who was being too cocky of herself when Grace caught her by the neck, slammed her with impact to the ground and threw her aside against a wall and in an instant shoved her hand through her chest and ripped out her heart while draining her of her blood. Both Veronica and Marcus died a horrible death.

Meanwhile on the battle ground, the supernaturals are victoriously winning the battle. Just then, Taylor came with her daughter to Clara seeing that she's fully recovered as a vampire fairy, informed them about the battle between Azriel and Emma. Peggy combined her magic with Sharlene to take out a huge some of IMPERISHABLES with ease.

The story continues with Emma and Azriel who battled in mid-air, using whatever means at their disposal. Emma was unable to lay a direct hit with the beta sword on Azriel, who caught her by the neck in mid-air and slammed her back against a pillar. Her strength are incredible, her speed is unfathomable, her stamina enhanced, she battled with Emma effortlessly.

"You're weak child and a disgrace to carry my blood in you... You're a disappointment to all... Sending my children instead of myself was an act of mercy, sometimes I even boast about you amongst my creation that you're undefeated even if they'd try to kill you, because you possess my will; but I was wrong to have let dracula raised you as a pathetic human with conscience, leaving among these animals instead of being with me. Does hearing Karl's death bothers you or the death of those you love disturbs you. Well, you don't even know the half of it, of what am capable of child. I'll destroy everything and everyone you love, till my will be done, I'll purge this world clean of mortals and every supernaturals who defies my will. It's right to pity them, Emma but wrong to value them over your own kind", said Azriel. who was able to avert the sword flung at her with her finger nails with Emma being able to spot the talisman on her tiara as a trophy.

Back at the Woods, both guardian battles immensely and are almost evenly matched. They counteracted each others spells, and are skilled fighters going toe to toe against each other. Rita used her immense speed on Elijah which had no effect as he was able to avoid every attack thrown at him as they fought while trying to convince her of her choice.

"You're better than this... You of all people know that. We're protectors not destroyers", Elijah said. "We bring balance to all things supernaturals".

"And the path you stand isn't the right choice for you brother", said Rita who fought with immense speed. "Everything you know and worked for to protect will crumble before your very eyes. Even that which you protect as the last resort will end to nothingness all because you're too blind to see that I'm right and you're wrong".

Elijah got hold of Rita as she struggles to escape, teleporting both in and out simultaneously as she was able to break free with their hands clashing against the other emits powerful blast that took out their surroundings.

"What a waste of gifts. Truly your creator weeps in their grave", said Rita Wood. Who backed out a bit and summoned a flaming sword from thin air. Elijah did the same with his being the opposite (ice sword).

"If you won't be convinced of mother's will, then I have no need of you", said Rita. "And perhaps mother will be so merciful to make you in her own image".

Both at once charged at each other at immense speed stabbing the other as their eyes both exploded wide open.

*Both snuff

"I see it now... It's so... Very bright", said Rita who faints as she gasp for air, seeing her creator, Sarah Lance in a luminous light smiling at her. "Forgive me mother, for I've failed you".

The weakened Rita died in the arms of Elijah as her body vaporized away into nothingness. He was remorseful for her death as she had transferred her magic to him on his left hand before passing on.

The story continues with Emma and Azriel who was able to toss aside the beta sword like it was nothing, with Emma trying to reach out to it, Azriel used her telekinesis on her as she tossed her aside with impact.

"Look what they need to mimic a fraction of our potential. You and I could've made a difference but instead you chose these pathetic creatures over us, we could've made their lives better, to live forever..." said Azriel. "What more could you afford to lose, to lay down your life for them. Knowing that they would turn out the same as usual, like they've always been. Man's aggression cannot be tempered. Only quelled".

Emma was able to recover quickly as she super sped to knock her off balance. They fought intensively... Teleportation, evenly matched, strength almost on par, agility and reflexes both superior. One could describe their battle as an Alpha and Omega.

Emma used her fawich scream which did some damage to her as she recovered quickly from it. Azriel got hold of Emma and slammed her face against a rock, with her fighting back as they fell into a tunnel while they fought and shape shift into all sort of creature. Transforming into an eagle to fight off Azriel in her python transformation, a chimp vs a bear, a tiger against a gorilla. They fell to the end of the tunnel with Azriel pushing Emma back to the top where they battled again.

Grace and Dante met with Emma as they came to her aid. Emma tried summoning the sword which Azriel stopped with her telepathy from behind without looking. Dante and Grace on the other hand charged towards her as she suspends them in mid-air.

"How pathetic of you to challenge your maker", said Azriel who laughs maniacally. She got hold of Emma

"You're wasting my time child...", Azriel said with a deep horrifying voice as she bites Emma by neck, drinking her blood till she's no more, Grace and Dante struggles to break free from their bondage when Sharlene, Peggy and Charlie came to the rescue. As Peggy and Sharlene combined their powers to create the fawich scream that pushed Azriel off of Emma and broke the spell off Grace and Dante.

Azriel regained her strength in no time becoming upset as she grew larger in size and shape. At first they all seemed terrified to what they had witnessed. Her transformation is so terrifying and horrific to describe, looking like a vampire witch/fairy but more in a disgusting and disturbing way. Her transformation has no beauty attached to it, nothing admirable to describe about it as it ruined her beauty. It had a deformed wings like sharp edged steel, and when spread forth it looked like that of a massive hands in wings form, her teeth/fangs so sharp that it could grind and shred steel like paper and crush the bones of mortals like an egg, her mouth extended to the end of her jaw when opened widely. Her claws are so sharp that every scratch it made, makes a squeaky sound that light up the surroundings in flames, her feet had sharp claws that pierced the ground she walked on, and her horns ripped out the tiara from her head which held the legendary talisman as it fell to the ground and broke into pieces revealing the true hidden content that was inside the talisman.

"The blood of Michael", they both said. With Azriel gazed wide−eyed at the concealed drop of blood in a small sealed transparent container. All eyes were fixed at it, the guardian came immediately and informed them to get hold of it before Azriel does. It was a fine battle with Emma entering her omega rage, she climbed on Azriel's back to restrain her from reaching the container, which was pulled aside by Peggy's magic. Charlie sturdy frame transformed at will into an omega wolf to push Azriel backwards. As she threw her aside like a ragdoll. Peggy and Sharlene combined their magic at full power towards Azriel who spit fire which collide with their magic to cause a huge explosion. Dante on the other hand, transformed into his vampire fairy to attack Azriel who fought in mid-air as she almost rip out his wings, if not for Grace who came to the rescue with Emma as they both held her legs and pulled her down.

The enrage Azriel screamed aloud which pushed everyone away from her, with her eyes set on Peggy who's with the container.

"Enough!", Azriel yelled. "I'd not spend six thousand years to be threatened by pathetic creatures like you. You're the ones who're beneath me, and there's nothing you can do about it" she said, using her super speed to grab Peggy by the neck as she roared furiously. "At least, you death will be meaningless". She said, taking the container from her, with Emma who summoned the beta sword to her aid and cuts off her hand that freed Peggy.

Azriel flee in pain away from them and stood on a pillar with the container while she regenerates her missing limb. "And now, what was mine shall now be restored". said Azriel who was about to drink the blood when Elijah Wood blasted it off her hand, shattering against a pointed wood from behind. She was enraged with madness as she screamed furiously and charged towards the guardian but was eventually caught by Emma from mid-air who grabbed her from behind as the beta sword fell to the ground. Azriel was ferocious as they all attacked simultaneously to subdue her, Dante and Grace held on to both hands with Emma from behind, she broke free after few attempts of struggle who caught Dante and was about to destroy him when Emma pushed him out of harm's way. She took Emma, grabbed her tight and flew upward with her mighty wings wrapped around her as she burnt her fervently. "You'll die alongside with your pathetic friends... You're nothing without me. I gave you life and now I must take it".

The enrage Emma was able to break free from her grip with her clothes burnt, partially naked, grabbed on to Azriel from behind again as they both went down. Azriel struggled to break free, hitting her back against the walls like a mad creature trying to get something off of her. Emma entagled her legs to interlock with Azriel's arms, as mother used her ginormous wings to pierce Emma continuously as she grunt in pains.

"Do it now!!!...", the enrage Emma yelled randomly. With the guardian looking at the beta sword.

Grace who noticed this pleaded with Emma not to do this "for there's always a way", said Grace. With Emma responding with a smile. "This is the only way". Azriel struggles continuously as she tried everything within her powers to break free but all to no avail with the injured Emma who kept on sustaining the damage given to her.

"Please! Emma. Don't do this", said Grace with tears from her eyes. The guardian took the sword and pierce through Azriel's chest which punctured Emma's as well. They all watched as Azriel struggling to break free from Emma's grip as they both got burnt from inside out against the wall. Azriel screamed in excruciating pain not being able to break free from Emma who held her firmly. As Liliana witnessed the death of her sister. The beta sword burnt through their skins fervently from inside out, it cracked their faces like a heated glass while it melts and breaks in pieces partially as they both died against a pillar dried up with the remnants of their burnt skeletons.

The IMPERISHABLES were overwhelmed by the supernaturals as some fled into the shadows. Grace who still couldn't believe the death of her friend, watches her deceased body clinged to the pillar as she mourns for her. They all mourn for the death of Emma Stone. Liliana on the other hand had left in great sadness, the guardian saw the broken pieces of the shattered container.

"After centuries of battle... It's finally over", said Sharlene in remorse. "But at a great cost?". She stared at Peggy as they all came out, Sharlene had already put a protection spell on the immortals who allied with them, whereas Peggy undid the spell that blocked out the light as it vaporizes the imitators with some running into the shadows.

Taylor Lance knelt before her daughter who was surprised to see what was about to happen, she hugged her child while shedding tears. Peggy felt a warm feeling inside her and at the same time a feeling of regret.

"You're better of with your new family", said Taylor. "I'll always love you".

"Mom no! Please don't do this", said Peggy with tears rolling down from her eyes. "I need you mom... Please".

She gently walked into the sunlight, giving Sharlene a signal to undo the spell... She stared her daughter one last time before burning into ash with a smile on her face. Peggy cried.

The vampire members came to Dante as they embraced each other and said their fair wells before departing.

"Till we meet again Dante!", Charles said. As the coven members all sped off.

Xara came to Dante as they embraced warmly and said her fair wells. Tyler O'Hara came to them as well, without uttering a word which they all understood as he left with the hunters. Somewhere in the shadows Sam and Beatrice spotted the imitators making their exist unannounced as a wolf said telepathically "till we meet again".

Clara Johnson and Becca Addison came together, both witches of light had to be one with wicca sabbat under Peggy's rule. The witches consoled with them and said their fair wells. Sharlene then came to Grace and Dante and told them they were welcome within the colony if they choose to.

"Emma was more than just a friend to us all, she was more than just a protector of innocent... She was everything to us all", said Sharlene. "Be strong for her, I know she would want that for all of us".

The Adams came to Dante and Grace and also consoled with them as they willingly offer any assistance to them in the future.

Grace and Dante stared at each other while holding hands as they mourn within themselves and they left together.

We all imagine ourselves the agents of our destiny, capable of determining our own fate. But have we truly any choice in when we rise, or when we fall, or does a force larger than ourselves bid us our direction. Is it nature that takes us by the hand, does science & fairytale point our way, or is it all things supernatural who intervenes keeping us safe.

We are not the pinnacle of so-called evolution. That honor belongs to the lowly cockroach. Capable of living for months without food. Remaining alive headless for weeks at a time. Resistant to radiation. If our makers has indeed created us in their own image, then I submit to you that our creators are roaches.

On the other side, a drop of blood which hung over a wood fell into the mouth of a supernatural when a voice spoke. "My will be done!".

To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose. The Earth spins at a thousand miles an hour as we desperately try to keep from being thrown off. Like the first blush in winter that signals a great migration. Is there any warning of their arrival? A sign, a single event that set this chain into motion? Was it a whisper in God's ear? Survive. Adapt. Escape. And if we could mark our single moment in time, that first hint of a prophecy of approaching danger... Would we have done anything differently? Could it have been stopped? Or was the die long ago cast? And if we could go back, alter its course, stop it from happening... would we?

When the supernatural selects its agents, it does so at a cost. It makes demands in exchange for singularity. And you may be asked to do something against your very nature. Suddenly, the change in your life that should have been wonderful, comes as a betrayal. It may seem cruel, but the goal is nothing short of self preservation. Survival.

This force, this change, is not sentimental. Like the world itself, it knows only the hard facts of life's struggle with death. All you can do is hope and trust that when you have served its needs faithfully, there may still remain some glimmer of the life you once knew.

For all his bluster, it is the sad province of Man that he cannot choose his triumph. He can only choose how he will stand when the call of destiny comes. Hoping that he'll have the courage to answer.

In the beginning there was discovery. A confusion of elements. The first snowfall of impossible change. Old lives undone, left behind. Strange faces, made familiar. New nightmares, to challenge sleep. New friends, to feel safe with. Only then comes control. The need to impose order unto chaos, through determination through study, through struggle. All in defiance of a thundering truth. They're here, and the earth shudders underfoot.

Some individuals, it is true, are more special. This is natural selection. It begins as a single individual born or hatched like every other member of their species. Anonymous. Seemingly ordinary. Except they're not. They carry inside them the genetic code that will take their species to the next evolutionary rung. It's destiny.

Generations unfold, father to son, mother to daughter. Where one leaves off, the other follows, destined to repeat each other's mistakes, each other's triumphs. For how do we see the world, if not through their lens? The same fears, same desires - do we see them as an example to follow? Or as a warning of what to avoid? Choosing to live as they have, simply because it's what we know, or driven to create our own identity? And what happens if we find them to be a disappointment? Can we replace them? Our mothers, our fathers? Or will destiny find a way to drive us back, back to the familiar comforts of home?

When we embrace what lies within, our potential knows no limit. The future is filled with promise. The present, rife with expectation. But when we deny our instinct, and struggle against our deepest urges... Uncertainty begins. Where does this path lead? When will the changes end? Is this transformation a gift... or a curse? And for those that fear what lies ahead... The most important question of all... Can we ever change what we really are?

A few months passed, Liliana entered her car and drove off to meet with someone as she wondered within her thoughts.

*Liliana's soliloquy*

"The war was finally over after centuries and over six thousand years ago but at what price, it came at a great cost, just like our fathers... The last omega of all supernaturals, my sister, Emma Stone sacrificed herself for peace at all cost.

Now, the imperishables, known as the imitators finally understood what was meant to be. But I feared this would be the last. What is life without death? What is victory without lost?, We all love something we've lost, We've all fought for something we've loved, but life's not the end when something you love is lost even when it seems it can never be regained, but as long as we live on is enough to put a smile on those who we've lost and loved, to see us move on, on their behalf. That's what Emma would've wanted; out there, somewhere in the shadows of light our destines awaits.

Some find a happy path to life (reviews Grace & Dante with their kid living happily ever after and in remembrance of her bestie), others try to find themselves (reviews Hanna Wise and Becca wise driving off to a new start. And Peggy Lance staying with the witches in wicca sabbat as mother of all. Charlie now being with the packs with her mother Beatrice and uncle Sam living as family and in remembrance of late Josh Adams).

Some accepts fate and destiny the way they're (reviews Sharlene East with her people). "As we all have our stories to tell, be it good or bad, its not to break or make us but what we become of it". (Reviews the twin sister of Hathaway staring at the full moon) for anything is impossible as long as there's unity. (Reviews the meteor that fell six thousand years ago cracks a little).

Aftermath, Liliana met with the guardian in secret.

"You're more than just a guardian... After centuries you finally found him, taught him all that he needs to know under your care and protection", said Liliana. "This is what my sister would have wanted, someone to light up the world... For there are others like him who would be awaken".

"Is he ready?", Liliana asked. "The last descendant of Michael".

"Yes! He's ready", Elijah Wood replied. Taking Liliana to meet with the last descendant of Michael as they walked through an opening like a portal and came to a place where they met him on a high cliff surrounded by beautiful trees and lovely sight of waterfall. A dove came landing on his hand.

"Behold the first and last descendant of Michael the Great". said Elijah Wood as he (the descendant) spread forth his mighty wings and flew into the sun set.

"This is not the end". said Liliana.

Sometimes later, a new prophecy occurs simultaneously inside the fairy colony and the pytaminc which has been merged with the wicca sabbat by Peggy Lance. Mother of all witches. Margret called upon the Queen when the new prophecy came.

"This has never happened before", said Queen Sharlene. "Prophecies only occur at the witches' sabbath..."

"What does it say my Queen?", Margret asked.

"As long as the descendants of Michael lives. Azriel is doomed to fail". said Sharlene.

On the other side of Azriel's domain, a supernatural was able to spot Marcus head and picked it up as his eyes gazed wide open.
