Daisy's POV
I knew I looked good but the way he was staring at me made me question that idea. I wait for a compliment that never came.
Is he disappointed?
Do I look that horrible?
He clenches his fist as I approach him with my ego at it's all time low. Why do I allow him to do this to me?
I avoid his eyes as he maintains his silence. I blame myself internally for expecting a situation out of a romance novel where he would be star-struck by me.
After all the pleasantries, Hunter and I both leave and my father and nanny said they'd come soon after.
When he opens the passenger door of his sleek car for me, I slide in still avoiding his gaze.
Stop behaving this way, he doesn't owe you any compliment.
He climbs in the driver's side and grips the staring wheel hard.
"Daisy..." He drawls.
"Just save it" I snap and he turns to me in surprise as if he doesn't understand what he did wrong.
Boys can be so dumb sometimes.
