CHAPTER 29

Everyone looked like they had fun and a great buzz at Henry's party but the little boy seemed to peek otherwise. It was definitely a memorable birthday but he seemed unhappy! It was already late and the guests had already left for their homes.

Miriam was clearing the tables while Henry sat at the far end with a frown masked on his face. "Who do we have here? Wait, it's the celebrant!" Carlos said, crouching down to Henry's level.

"Is that a frown on your face? I thought you would be excited as you rip off your gifts one after the other, why are you sad champ?" Carlos asked, shuffling through the variety of gifts.

Carlos soon found the gift he was looking for, he smiled before dropping it on the desk in front of Henry. "Why don't you open it, you might be happy to see what you have been wishing for!" Carlos said grinning from ear to ear.

"I'm sorry uncle Carlos but I don't think what I wish for can come in a fancy gift!" Henry said.
