CHAPTER 13. Another Suggestion

In a room within the residence of Tristian Varden Writh

The atmosphere became quiet after hearing the story of the stocky man. Meanwhile, the young lady who was pregnant was dumbfounded, as were the two middle-aged women in the room. Time seemed to pass so slowly for everyone present they had not yet opened the conversation again.

"Wow." That was all that came out of the lips of the husband of Lavena Isolda Keira. Meanwhile, the young guy looked at his biological father with a serious look, and the other person answered the same thing.

"Dad, I do not know what to say after hearing your story," said the emerald-eyed man. His expression was still in shock, mixed with confusion. Meanwhile, the fifty-two-year-old man has yet to comment on his biological son's words.

“I do not know about the truth of the story yet, but when I was listening to your story, where Goddess Magia was angry when she found out that you were praying to Goddess Asiles, then that rumor would be right. If you have another level of braveness, then you can try to contact the Goddess Magia and ask her about that.” The man, who was still of noble descent, gave an idea, so the owner of the luxurious residence glared as if he couldn't believe what he had just heard.

"Dad!" said Tristian, who could not help but think.

"I am just giving advice, Son. If you want to follow my idea, then go ahead. But if you are scared, then forget it. Who is the normal human in Zlatav who dares to face the Queen of Witch head-on? Only magicians are brave and they do not live in big cities that are still ruled by our emperor." Sir Elmer gave an explanation, so Tristian was silent for a while, as if he was thinking about something.

“Witches… so, they still exist today, Dad? Where are they live?" Tristian asked, curious.

The middle-aged man looked at his son intently, then shook his head a few times. The conversation that was formed between father and son now attracted the attention of everyone present, so that they listened to all of it carefully, as if not wanting to miss such a thing.

“I have only heard that they live in a hidden place, which ordinary mortals will not be able to reach until the day of vengeance comes. Of course, they still exist, because otherwise, the ancient prophecy will cancel itself, and my granddaughter will definitely live in peace with all of us,” replied Madame Phoenix's husband Lily Katira, honestly.

"That makes sense, Dad. They must have waited a very long time until a messenger from Goddess Magia was born into the world. But why take our daughter? It is unfair.” Tristian sounded annoyed, as well as disappointed. A young woman who had been sitting next to the man now holding the hand of the opposite sex, as if she wanted to give moral support to her beloved husband.

“As to the reason about why Goddess Magia chose your daughter as her messenger, to be honest I do not know, Son. Only the goddess and the witches know the reason behind that. One thing is for sure, everyone's life in Zlatav will never be the same because I must fulfill the ancient prophecy. Soon or later, we must prepare ourselves and get ready for the enormous battle.” The man who has a height of one hundred and eighty centimeters expresses an opinion so that such words make the atmosphere tense.

A man, who had a facial resemblance to his son, now turned his attention to Lavena's parent, who had been observing his conversation with Tristian. The man who carried a long shiny wand with an eagle's head at the end seemed to want to say something, but there was doubt in the silver-haired man, so it was clearly visible on his face.

“Do you have something to say, Sir Alex? If you want to tell us some of your ideas or anything useful, then please do it.” When they heard this, the gazes of everyone in the room immediately shifted to the man wearing the hat usually worn by noblemen who lived in Zlatav.

"I just thought, if indeed soon or later the great battle between the residents and the magicians really happened according to the ancient prophecy, how about us, our extended family? Of course, such an event would not happen now, because the chosen one had not yet been born into the world.” The man wearing a dark brown coat asked. He looks serious when he says this, so the other person can only nod.

“If this is the case, then we can flee abroad, out of Zlatav. Do not give yourself up to the massacre, if you can avoid it. We will come back to this country after all the chaos is over." Sir Elmer answered the besan's question. He then turned his gaze towards Tristian and his wife.

“Son, you better take care of the child until he is born safely. Do not introduce her to our society. I will help you look for another baby, a baby boy of the same age, as your daughter's replacement. When your daughter is five months old, you and your wife can bring her to the orphanage, so she would be safe there. After that, your mother and I will come here and bring a new baby to you.”

When she heard the explanation from her father-in-law, the feeling of the young lady who was pregnant became turbulent. Anxiety hit again in the green-eyed woman, so now she tightened her grip on her lovely husband's hand. Tristian realized such a moment and took similar action.

“Why… why did dad even find us another child? We can tell anyone in our society that our daughter died after being born. We can make a piece of fake information to hide the truth about our child.” There is a feeling of unwillingness in the man with sideburns and a thick beard. He could not even imagine if another baby boy will replace their child.

"If you make a statement 'our daughter has passed away as soon as my wife gives birth to her', it will make anyone suspicious. Why can I say such a thing? Because later there will be two envoys from the emperor, especially in the field of recording the number of people, in this case, they are indeed devoted to registering all noble families, especially regarding the death of family members. They will absolutely come here, then ask you and your wife to explain clearly about the chronology of the death of your daughter. Not only that, they have special authority, so they can get detailed information from the medical staff who assisted Lavena's delivery. Besides that, you must show them her death certificate and also her cemetery. Are you ready to deal with such hectic activities?”

Sir Elmer deliberately gave an illustration of a consequence that will be obtained by the son and his wife, if Tristian still insists on saying that his daughter has died, which is sure to have long result. The atmosphere in the room was quiet again because they were still waiting for an answer from the well-built man.

In less than a minute, the man who has a height of one hundred-and eighty-five centimeters tall looks like he wants to say something to his father. “I do not know, if later I make an alibi about the death of our daughter, it will result like that. Dad, what if you bring a baby boy to us? Is the risk less than the first option? This is a new thing for me, so I am sorry if I ask too much about this issue.”

"I understand, Son. Do not worry. If you want to choose, I will bring a new baby into your family, then I will take care of everything, and no one else is suspicious at all. To be honest, it is easier to do such action. In a noble family, death definitely received more attention than one's birth. The two envoys certainly did not ask for too many details, so all is under control. If you have another suggestion, then you can tell us, so we will discuss which idea is better for you.”

“Yes, Dad. I do have another idea, that is—”
